Sarah Geelan What can I say about Irene Byrne & Co, other than it is now my favourite store of all time? This past weekend my boyfriend and I were browsing at this beautiful store when he spotted a ring in the window and asked me to try it on. Irene and Travis were so lovely and welcoming, they let us browse and be in our own thoughts but were incredibly generous with their time and expertise whenever we did have a question about a piece of jewellery. We left the store, but we returned about 2 minutes later and my then-boyfriend, now-fiancé bought that same beautiful ring he’d admired in the window. And right then and there, surrounded by hundreds of other tokens of love from across the decades, he asked me to marry him. I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect moment, so thank you Irene and Travis for being part of our story and treating us with such kindness and generosity. I’ll never forget it. Of all the rings I’ve tried on, I’ve never seen one so classic, beautiful and “me”. You can’t beat an antique ring for the quality, style and knowing it has a story behind it. We bought the ring on Saturday, picked it up perfectly resized on Monday. So you simply must visit this store when you are in Leura, and I wish you all the same luck we had. Sarah A A HUGE thank you to Geneine and the team for helping my dream engagement ring become a reality. My fiancé and I searched for 6 weeks for the right jeweler and everything felt right from the moment I stepped inside the studio. Having all of those Australian sapphires on display made choosing a stone easy, and I knew as soon as I saw this one that it was the one for me. Geneine was extremely patient while we played around with various sized side stone options until we worked out the perfect design.
