1 /5 Frances Daniele: I rarely write reviews but as someone who also works in retail and understands the importance of great customer service I was prompted to write this after my experience yesterday. I was in your Highpoint store when I overheard a conversation between a customer and the owner’s daughter Melissa. Melissa was so rude to this customer that, even though I had money in my pocket to buy two gifts, I walked out. There was no way you were getting my business after that conversation. I was disgusted by her tone and attitude. If you’re wondering why business has been quiet, your answer lies in Melissa. Many times I walked past the store and she sat there on her phone looking miserable. She was not welcoming at all and just because she is the owner’s daughter she does not have the right to treat customers that way. We, the consumers, keep you in business. Unfortunately, from reading your reviews and my experience yesterday I now understand why you’re so quiet in your stores. Customer service doesn’t seem to be the field she’s suited to. And that was VERY evident yesterday. Remember … ownership of a store doesn’t bring you “entitlement”. Very disappointed - people like her give retail workers a bad reputation. Luckily we’re not all like that …
