Kathy however has completely ruined this place with the most horrific service experience I have experienced in ANY store.
I purchased a Lapis ring for my Fiancé on Saturday that didn’t fit well and I came back today on Tuesday politely asking for a refund as there wasn’t anything else I wanted from the currently limited stock in store.
What I was met with immediately was such a rude attitude and immediate defensiveness citing “the retail act” not needing to refund anything and that there are no exchanges which quickly changed to it only applying arbitrarily to some items. I was shocked to say the least having been met with this attack because the owner whom served me was delightful!
I asked if she could contact the owner and ask if she could explain the situation but given it was 15 minutes to close the story went from “I’m not sure if I can call her now” to “actually no I can’t call her and she won’t do a refund and I have to do the till” clearly her mind was on going home rather than resolving a simple request.
At no point did the lady owner state anything about exchanges or refunds, there is no signage to advise the customer of their options or lack of and according to the infamous Kathy there’s only a 7 day exchange period which is not shown anywhere in the entire store!
Kathy threw in the vague protection of the retail act a few more times in for good measure before I left completely aghast with what transpired.
I will be taking my custom and love for jewellery elsewhere and won’t return to this once lovely store.
