5 /5 Piret Cantwell: This review was almost no stars. I dropped off my 2 longines watches which had been purchased at the store over 10 years ago and a Raymond Weil to replace the batteries. There was an $80 per watch charge to have them sent to longines and Raymond Weil where they would be assessed, there would be an additional charge to replace the batteries and service if needed and would take up to 6 weeks or more. I thought the charges and time frames were a bit excessive and agreed to the pricing.
Not entirely satisfied with the price or timeframes I made contact with a longines store directly and was advised the cost would be $65 per watch to replace the battery and turnaround time would be up to 5 days.
I contacted saleras Southland to cancel the repairs and return my watches, initially I was told the $240 I had paid would not be refunded and a few days later told that I would receive a full refund.
On returning to the store to collect my watches and grateful that I was being refunded, before I left I was assisted by the two lovely sisters who helped me purchase another longines watch to add to my collection!!!
And the moral of the story is, great for watch purchases, but save yourself money and go elsewhere for battery replacement!!!!
