Rec Xpress 24/7 Fitness Oakleigh - VIC

Jean Minutolo So pleased my family members and I joined Rec Xpress. The gym has everything we need in a friendly and welcoming environment. The staff, including James and Angela, are super helpful and supportive. Highly recommend.

Evado Studios Cheltenham - VIC

Wai Ying Lee I’ve had a fantastic experience doing clinical Pilates at Evado Studio. Both Michael and Glenn are incredibly professional physiotherapists who take the time to understand your condition and tailor each session to my needs. They helped improve my heel pain significantly and guided me safely back into regular exercise. Their clear instructions, supportive approach, and genuine care make a huge difference. I also love the convenient location of the studio and its clean, well-maintained environment — it makes every visit enjoyable. Highly recommend Evado Studio for anyone looking for quality clinical Pilates and expert physio support!

Jubilee Park Outdoor Gym - VIC

Wong Mark Been a few years since last review. Nothing has changed. Reserve is poorly maintained, and always looks messy. This is as good as it gets on this side of Maroondah. The two stars is for equipment, and zero star for maintenance of the reserve. The only toilets available to the public is at Jubilee Oval No. 2. These toilets are wosre than public toilets in well known junkie suburbs around Melbourne or small rural towns. The toilets at Russell Lucas are not open to public (probably only during events only - too bad if you are a rate payer and your not into football or cricket). Other councils (such as Boorandara & Manningham) provide much better for their rate payers. Too much money spent on club sporting facilities (in Maroondah) and nothing for the general public who are not into ball sports. Recently travelled up north and experienced outdoor gyms in NSW & QLD (even in small towns). They have bigger and better, and their public spaces are much better maintained.

The Yard Gym Deer Park - VIC

Gerard Peck There are many gyms and fitness centres to choose from in this day and age, all offering the promise of fitness and health, each copying each other’s format, and they are quick to sign you up then deliver so little. The Yard Deer Park is the exception to this. The Yard represents the future of training, and The Yard Deer Park is the shining beacon of this future, being the first of its kind in the Western Suburbs. Unlike other fitness brands, The Yard offers you choice, choosing between Cardio (Turf) and Weights (Rig) allowing you to customise your training to your specific needs. Classes are a tight and challenging 50 minutes, that take you through a rigorous regime, leaving you feeling thoroughly worked out and accomplished. At The Yard Deer Park you are always greeted by name, you are not some random person walking through the doors, you are a valued member of their community. The coaches at The Yard Deer Park are not chaperones guiding you through a workout like other fitness brands do, they are full qualified trainers who take a keen interest in each members fitness goals and strive to help them achieve and exceed it. They are educators, teaching you on form, guiding you to constantly smash your personal best, encouraging you to build confidence, fitness and strength. The owners of The Yard Deer Park have established a positive community, where all members get along, motivating each other offering support and celebrating each other’s success. There are no cliques here, just a group of like-minded people, who are open and welcoming to all new members and trialists. I highly recommend The Yard Deer Park, as THE place to train in Melbourne’s Western Suburbs. Try it out, you will not be disappointed.
