Buza Chicken Springvale - VIC

Wai Wong We ordered three half chickens for dine in and were shocked with the serving size. To be honest, one half chicken here seemed to be the same serving size as a whole chicken takeaway from other Korean fried chicken places. We also gave full marks for all three flavours we tried. We deem this our personal best Korean fried chicken place.

foodbringshappiness They serve popular Chinese-style street food—skewers that are deep-fried and seasoned with their secret blend of chili and spices. Desserts By Night (Springvale) - VIC

Perfect B.P.M I’m always on the lookout for places that not only satisfy a sweet tooth but also elevate dessert to an art form. My recent visit to Dessert by Night in Springvale left me truly impressed. First, the sticky date pudding. It was simply sublime. The pudding itself was perfectly moist, with a rich, caramelized sweetness that wasn’t overpowering. What really stood out to me was the balance—the date flavor was present, but subtle, letting the warmth of the butterscotch sauce shine through. Paired with a generous scoop of vanilla ice cream, the contrast of hot and cold was the perfect ending to each bite. Next up were the strawberry crêpes, and they were nothing short of delightful. The crêpes were paper-thin and soft, yet had just the right amount of bite to hold together a filling of fresh, juicy strawberries. The sweetness of the strawberries paired beautifully with the light dusting of powdered sugar and a drizzle of strawberry sauce. Every bite was refreshing, light, and full of flavor. This is exactly how a dessert should feel—balanced and not too heavy. Finally, the banana and walnut hotcake was a revelation. The texture of the hotcake was spot on—fluffy and tender, with a nice crispness on the edges. The bananas, caramelized to perfection, added a lovely richness, while the walnuts gave it that necessary crunch. The drizzle of maple syrup brought it all together, making each bite a harmony of sweet, nutty, and fruity goodness. Dessert by Night exceeded my expectations with these dishes. The flavors were well-executed, the textures were spot on, and the overall experience was one that any chef—or dessert lover—would appreciate. If you’re in Springvale and looking for a place that truly respects the art of dessert, this spot should be at the top of your list.

VN Food Street - VIC

Republic Of Dandenong VN Food Street is a hidden treasure in Springvale which is serving up some of the most delicious traditional Vietnamese street food around. Tucked away in a deep corner of the Springvale Centre just off Springvale Road (the smallest of the 3 shopping centres in Springvale), it seems that this place only known to those who venture away from the more mainstream eateries in the larger centres. The kitchen is run by a team of older Vietnamese ladies and you get the feeling they have spent their lives in a kitchen; whether thats at work or at home preparing meals for large families. They carefully tend to everything cooking on the stoves, putting love into each dish and serving each customer with a warm smile. The bain-maries are carefully laid out so every is organized into neat and tidy portions, while the rice paper roll station is filled with fresh ingredients of vibrant green lettuce, herbs and meats. Everything here is made from scratch and everything is put out to be sold in small batches so it stays fresh. Their menu offers a variety of braised dishes, such as beef, chicken, fish, tofu and vegetables. You can also find a variety of traditional soups which start at just $3 for a small and $5 for large. The homemade steamed rice rolls filled with chicken and mushroom, and also, pork and shrimp, served with fried shallots and dipping sauce are highly recommended ($6). For $10, you can get a large plate of white rice and three sides. The homemade glutinous rice balls in ginger syrup are gooey and fresh, sold for just $3 in a tub of 2 mung bean filled rice balls and plenty of small plain ones with coconut milk on the side. Although located in a walkthrough arcade, it offers seating to its customers. To the left of the store is a communal table, where you can quietly sit, eat and watch the shoppers go by while feeling like you’re still right there in the middle of it all or you can start up a conversation with some of the other friendly diners. A fantastic feature for a place selling street food! When we first googled this place, we found nothing. It’s not even listed in the yellow or white pages! So here we are finally putting it on the map. As a friendly Pilipino lady we met today at the communal table who has travelled to Vietnam 8 times told us “this place makes the best street food around here!” We couldn’t agree more!

蘇翔 Very good restaurant hidden away from the main block of Springvale. I was lucky being taken there by my friend. Waltzing Matilda Hotel - VIC

Tyson G I had an excellent experience at the Waltzing Matilda Pub thanks to Dylan. From the moment I walked in, he was warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive. He has that perfect mix of professionalism and easygoing charm that makes you feel right at home. Dylan clearly knows his stuff — whether it’s recommending the right drink, offering menu suggestions, or just keeping the atmosphere upbeat, he does it all effortlessly. Even when the place got busy, he stayed calm, friendly, and on top of everything.
