4 /5 N.C: I recently visited Baba Sweets in Thomastown and had a mixed experience. The samosa was one of the best Ive had in Melbourne—fresh and not oily at all. The jalebi was perfect, with a balanced sweetness and great taste, though it was served cold. The brown cham cham was okay, but the pink one had a bit of a sour taste. The tea was pretty average and didnt meet my expectations. The mix pakoras were a bit of a letdown as they didnt contain any potato; instead, they were cauliflower coated with besan and spinach, more like gobi pakora.
They are not that expensive, which is good, but do check, as the prices on their menu are not updated.
Despite some of the downsides, I highly recommend Baba Sweets Thomastown for their samosa and jalebi.
