Sons Of Mary - VIC

Ihor Varhotskyi Today on Sunday we had lunch with friends, I really liked the service, the friendly and smiling staff. Very tasty food, reasonable prices for alcohol! Of the disadvantages, it was cool in the hall, when the central door is open, you can feel the wind, this could be fixed.

The Little Banh Mi House - VIC

Nick Hidden gem in the area with the best banhmis for value price! Team was super fast and they did not hold back with the vegies and meat. We got crispy pork and marinated pork. It was super yum. Must try.

Hung’s Banh Mi - VIC

Michael H Really fresh banh mi. $11 each. You can tell when other places use overly crunchy/dry bread and not so fresh ingredients. This place is the complete opposite - they make everything fresh and the staff are so friendly.

Maharani Indian Restaurant - VIC

Stan I have had many..many Indian take away/deliveries in my time, and this has to be one of the best. This is the first time the curry actually had more than 4 pieces of meat like most places disappoint with! This was packed with delicious juicy pieces of Chicken Mumtaz (Butter Chicken)! The flavours were fantastic! The Daal Makhani was super delicious! The Lamb Biryani was also fantastic with a great amount of lamb pieces! They were also very generous and included 2 sauces, and 2 containers of rice just out of goodness! This is just unheard of! I am extremely impressed and thankful!

Humble Creatures - VIC

Tony Titheridge Great suburban hub, and an ideal stop for a break on a day spent at the nearby Moorabbin Hospital. Friendly warm service, delicious and well executed Symmetry coffee, a decadently enjoyable breakfast bacon and egg burger, and finished with a ripping chocolate milkshake chaser!! The local area flock here, people of all types. Because they know how good their local is and how lucky they are to have it. Will definitely be back.

Pho 98 - VIC

Michael Bouy Delicious food and excellent service. You receive water and prawn crackers on being seated. I had vermicelli salad (bun) with pork and spring rolls, while the wife had the special beef pho. Servings were very generous - wife had to take hers home to finish. Highly recommend!

Fe Fin. Cafe - VIC

E L Had a great meal here, definitely looking forward to trying more on the menu. The sweet egg toast looked a bit plain but had a nice complex blend of flavours. I appreciated the restraint on the sweetness - it was balanced really well with the fat from the lemon butter and peanut butter, some nice acidity from the berry compote, rounded by a pop of saltiness. Vietnamese pork sub was delicious too - really liked the house-made sausage. The roll itself could be better though. It was quite doughy on the inside and not as crispy on the outside as it could have been. Also had a brownie which I suggest skipping. Guessing it’s bought in, was a bit stale and lacking in flavour.

Korner & Co. - VIC

Raphael Kaleb “Why don’t we have breakfast at a local café?” I asked wifey while we gave our Fur Baby her morning exercise. That’s how we went to Korner and Co on the corner of East Boundary Rd and Clarence Streets in East Bentleigh. On arrival I ventured in and said to the manager, we were sitting outside with a dog. They smiled and said He said they would came to our table. Perfect, I thought. Korner and Co has seating for about 40 people inside, an Accessible Bathroom with a Hand Rail and extremely well lit. I believe it would be a good venue for a small function. ‘ Our fur baby really appreciated her water waiting” said wifey. ’ ‘That’s why I wanted to come here. I knew Korner and Co provided a Bowl of Water for Dogs sitting outside with their beloved masters. Wifey’s breakfast of Pumpkin with Goats Cheese Frittata with salad arrived closely followed by my Steak Sandwich with a Side of Chips. We enjoyed our brunch and good-natured banter with other customers exchanging updates on their furry family members. Wifey ordered a Cappuccino with Almond Milk that aptly came with a Love Heart on top and pretended to glare at me angrily for ordering a delicious Lemon Slice for me but not her. “Relax honey bunch. I’ll order you one for you next time. The display looks really yummy with lots of choices” ‘’Make sure you don’t forget’’ she said in her best theatre tones. I didn’t tell her about the customer window on East Boundary Rd for passing trade, The Lemn Slice would be a pleasant surprise another day. Korner and Co is a great café in East Bentleigh. Friendly customers , smiling staff and a great selection of food and beverages ranging from Coffee to Fruit Smoothies. There’s parking in Clarence St, Umbrellas providing shade outside, and an Accessible bathroom. I noticed a number of families brought their children there. There is a Children’s Menu. The whole vibe of Korner and Co reminded me of the 1980’s sitcom Cheers. We’ve added Korner and Co to our list of fun places to go to in Bentleigh.
