I am a frequent customer of this cafe because I love their coffee. Every time the presentation, flavour and temperature of the coffee never fails to impress me. However, I am very disappointed today.
I ordered a big breakfast and an extra hot, soy latte today. When the coffee was served, I was very shocked as the latte art was not art at all, but just an ugly pool of milk. Additionally, the cup wasn’t even full, I thought someone had taken a sip out of it.
When I asked the tall, slim Chinese, female barista who made my coffee, she insisted that it was not her problem for the unacceptable presentation of the coffee, but my fault because I ordered it extra hot. But I’ve always ordered extra hot lattes at every cafe I visit and the baristas have had no issue with the latte art? Likewise, every single time I’ve visited this cafe, it has never been an issue either because all the other baristas are very friendly and willing to accept feedback. Moreover, the Chinese barista refused to remake my coffee and kept saying that it was not her problem but mine. Eventually, she unwillingly asked one of the other staff to remake it for me. While the second staff was making my coffee again, the original staff kept emphasising that it was not her fault and mentioning that I had ordered it extra hot. At that moment, I felt very disrespected as a customer.
I am so disappointed because I have been looking forward to this cup of coffee all morning. Overall, I am very unhappy with the barista’s skill and attitude.
Please reflect on your service, if you don’t want to lose anymore customers. Personally, I will not be returning anytime soon.
