G G We went on a Sunday and it was packed. Line to get a table. Seating in side, outdoor, covered area, and a few tables out the front of the cafe. Delicious cakes on display, simple menu, but meals were amazing. Fresh ingredients, coffee was hot and made perfectly. The view of Maribyrnong river was breath taking. Staff were pleasent, always smiling, checking if we needed anything. You have to come here, especially after visiting the nursery and gift shop.

Sharon Henderson Very busy night. Dinner for 4 Chose the dolmades, scallop and calamari entree and two mixed grill platters. All Meat was cooked perfectly. The highlight was the lamb chop. The chefs over the bbq worked hard all night. Great to watch this from our table. Ordered bread to soak up the rest of the scallop juice. Bartender nailed our long island iced teas X 8 and old fashioned X 2. He was also very friendly and came to chat to us. Serving staff were efficient but not as friendly as our bartender. We liked we were asked if we were ready for our main course. We are not dessert people but tried a milk soaked dessert and a baklava type. We loved both of them. Will be back

Amilliah Peking yummy duck just opened up recently in Essendon Melbourne, They have both a Chinese, and English version menu. The food tasted authentic and excellent. service was great, and the restaurant had old school diner feels. The chef carved up the peking duck at the table and presented this to us with the bean curd side instead of the usual noodles and duck soup. The style we Cantonese style dishes. the meat on the duck was very succulent, there was not enough of the crispy skin though. service is 100%, parking available at the front and side. Decor was very pretty.

Lyndon Walker We had the 5 course vegan banquet that we purchased via redballoon and were thoroughly impressed by every facet of the experience. The staff were friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. The food was amazing. Every course was delicious and the portions were generous. The ambience of the space was just perfect for a nice date. Thoroughly recommend checking them out.

Aisha R Great pizza, service is excellent, and they have great deals if you order direct. We ordered 10 pizzas for a party - arrived on time, all got and fresh and they threw in some freebies. Highly recommend.

Nickola Rita and Serg and their staff are incredible! They accommodated our needs and dietary requirements. They go above and beyond for their customers and couldn’t recommend them enough. 10/10 hospitality, food is outstanding leaves you satifised, not greasy and delicious.

Anh Nguyen This is our new favourite restaurant! We came here for dinner and we left so happy. Fried chicken was amazing! Chicken was so tender and juicy. Batter was light and crispy. The sauce we chose was the creamy onion mayo. Delicious! Kimbap/gimbap was perfect. Fried udon noodles were super tasty! Can’t wait to come back!

Frank Tan I have been searching for a good Southern Indian restaurant for awhile and glad to say this is it! Good food great service nice atmosphere. I had a late dinner on a rainy Monday night but could see they have a strong takeaway business. The menu was extensive but I knew I wanted the non-veg thali, well-worth the $24. The mutton curry that came along with it was exceptional. The other non-veg was a yummy chicken curry. I could not get enough of the spice rice which was part of the thali. Service by the waiter was simply excellent. I finished off with a lovely hot cup of masala tea. Enjoyed the Indian music videos. Happy night. Will be back with friends and family to try the wide range of briyanis and dosa vadai :)

Regaleatsmelb When I say this spot is an Essendon institution, I’m not exaggerating! Adding a fresh twist in their new menu to the traditional Greek street food we all know and love, think bigger flavours, high-quality ingredients, and halal-friendly dishes made fresh to order. My favourite had to be that Chargrilled Octopus Leg which I inhaled with zero regrets. And the Crispy Halloumi Chips were perfectly golden with a satisfying crunch making them dangerously addictive. The Mixed Dips are always a Greek food feast must, and the Dolmades were a great addition to the Mixed Grill, which covered all of your major Greek food groups and a great all around share plate. What was a surprising win was the Cypriot Grain Salad which was made sweet thanks to the pomegranate seeds and a great counter balance to the heavier meats and oils and cheeses that make up great Greek food. Whether you’re in it for the mezze, the cocktails, or that legendary octopus, this place brings the Greek heat with exceptional service and a vibe that sees you staying there way past close.

Diana Miranda Ive visited Chew Chew Cafe a couple of times now... The staff here are very welcoming and Friendly.. the place has a nice cosy feel, I would definitely visit again... I would highly recommend the banana walnut cake, it was straight out of the oven so fresh n tasty. Another favourite here, is the beef burger... it had so much of flavour to it... the beef was not over cooked just perfect the way I like it very filling. The Acai Bowl, perfect for a healthy breakfast balance of crunch n fruits with coconut flakes.. my friend enjoyed it.. Garden Chew... was also yummy.. and filling ... this was the first time i got to taste this big mushroom n i liked it.. I would highly recommend Chew Chew Cafe
