Rui Mei This franchise is our all time favourite for Xiao Luong bao! Food quality across all branches is always consistant! Be it the Little Bourke street, Elizabeth Street, the old Bourke street or Burwood One branch, Ive been to them all! the XLB skins is always paper thin and soft, fillings always juicy. Just need a branch out in the Northern and Western suburbs now!! Vegetarian friendly also.

A. L First time here and love it so much! Food was great and fresh, loving the beef belly the most. Staffs are helpful, they cooked for us to make sure the meat was nice and tender. Only down part was every time you asked for more lettuce, they only provided three to four leaves which will be eaten in four bites...but I get it, they rather asked you to request more times than just got wasted, theyre free anyway. Gets really busy during peak hours, make sure you book ahead.

Alex Guo Had lunch at Schnitz for the first time today, and it was very enjoyable. The dine in area was clean, the food was absolutely incredible and the staff were friendly. I was especially impressed by how quickly my order came out, as it got to my table within minutes of sitting down. My server was very friendly and professional, he made me feel welcomed the moment I went up to order. The food was slightly pricier than I expected but it was definitely worth it. The plain and simple burger was juicy, the chicken was tender and not overcooked and the fries went perfectly with a side of garden salad. I was expecting it to be greasy but it was surprisingly well balanced and I loved the toasted bun the burger was made on. The food was put thoughtfully on my plate and was not a mess like some other restaurants Ive been to. As I was eating, a waiter walked past and asked if I needed anything, I asked if there was water and he brought me a bottle straight away, which made me feel valued and it was evident that they took care of their customers. If youve ever walked past this Schnitz and were doubtful on whether to eat there or not, I would say go for it because it is honestly the best restaurant in the area. It has amazing customer service, brilliant food and it is worth your time and money. 5/5 would eat here again.

Raa Had a great dinner experience here for my mum’s birthday. The waiter was professional and highly experienced. The dishes are delicious, specifically the wood fired one. Pappardelle Salmonara was slightly salty to my taste though.

Sophie Whitehouse I got the chicken katsu curry on rice. It was very reasonably priced. The chicken katsu was a generous portion, and perfectly crispy in a way I just cant describe. The curry sauce was exactly what I was craving. The rice was the perfect mix of sticky and fluffy. Service was very quick, and the guy who gave me my order was very friendly. Highly recommend!!

Aaron Stork China Bar at Burwood One is a bit of a hidden gem if you’re after solid, no-fuss Chinese food. I stumbled across it recently and it’s quickly become my go-to for a quick lunch or a relaxed dinner. The place itself is simple and clean, nothing flashy, but it feels comfortable enough to sit down and take your time without feeling rushed. The menu hits all the classics and does them well. The stir-fries are generous and full of flavour, the dumplings are always juicy and satisfying, and the sauces have that perfect balance — rich without being greasy. Portions are generous too, so sharing a few dishes works well, or taking some home if you overestimate your appetite. I have to admit, the fried rice and sweet and sour pork are particular favourites — comforting and well cooked every time. Staff are friendly and attentive, but never hovering. Even when the place is busy, orders come out quickly, and they’re happy to answer questions or suggest something if you’re unsure what to try. It’s the kind of place where you feel looked after without any fuss. China Bar isn’t trying to impress with fancy plating or gimmicks — it’s about good food, friendly service, and consistency. If you find yourself in Burwood and craving simple, tasty Chinese food, it’s definitely worth a stop.
