5 /5 Steph G: Since I used to live very close to Chur Thai, I would come here frequently. The first time, I came with colleagues and ordered the set menu for four, which was truly impressive. It started with shrimp chips served with warm peanut sauce—an unexpected but delicious combination. The appetizers, like the fried spring rolls and pastries, were very tasty, especially the golden bag, filled with juicy meat and corn. For the main course, the standout was the fried barramundi salad, which had a perfect balance of sweet and sour flavors and a satisfying crunch. Other dishes like pad Thai, green curry, and moo yang BBQ weren’t exceptional but were reliably good. The meal ended with a hot drink and ice cream, making it a very satisfying experience.
Afterward, I became a regular visitor. For two people, I recommend the set menu for two; it’s great value and always more than enough, often requiring takeaway. The ambiance in the restaurant is nice too, with many families dining together on weekends. During the COVID period, I often ordered takeout, and the seasoning on the crying tiger salad was authentic, though I still recommend dining in for the best experience.
