Mel Russell Such a beautiful ‘Welcome’ when I went into ‘Seafood Grill Fish & Chippery’- by Christopher & Brandon. Modern, Clean & Service Excellence from this team, you can be assured you will be served with a smile & genuine level of attention. Lovely cafe chairs & tables outside, for those who want to eat straight away. Seriously, the Fresh Flake was recommended, & I’m so glad I tried this. I ordered the Flake with Sweet Potato Chips. Absolutely the best I have ever had- the fish was a decent thickness, thoroughly enjoyed, and for once, ‘I felt the batter wasn’t overtaking the fish in thickness’, also no grease! Highly recommend this choice, with the sweet potato chips cooked to perfection. Will definitely go back to try other fish options & ‘work my way through the menu’. Finally, a decent Fish & Chip Shop that served the best quality & healthy options! So happy. Good luck guys & see you ‘next time’.

Natalie Johns Lovely little gem for a special event or a nice night out in the hills. The food was lovely and full of flavour, (loved the local produce details). The service was attentive and the restaurant had a cosy feel which was perfect.

Yean S We recently hosted a family gathering at Micawber Tavern at the beginning of December for a weekday lunch, and we couldnt be happier with how it turned out! After our original venue cancelled on us just 2 weeks before the date, we needed to find a place that could accommodate about 40 people within our budget and without sacrificing food quality. From the first enquiry to the end of our lunch, the entire team was very pleasant to work with. Charli, Emma, and Renae from the functions team were so accommodating. Even though the Bistro area usually seats a larger group, they let us book the space exclusively for our smaller group because we loved the atmosphere of that area. They also worked with us to tailor a menu off their regular offerings to meet our specific dietary needs, and also making the whole booking and payment process incredibly smooth. On the day, the restaurant staff were absolute superstars! They were friendly, professional, and so detail-oriented. They even took down a ceiling prop they felt didnt suit the vibe of our event impromptu! As for the food, honestly we were bit worried the quality might dip when cooking for a large group, but we were so wrong! Everything was perfect, delicious, and served without delay. Thank you to the entire team for making our event such a success during the busiest time of the year!

Hannah LOVED THIS PLACE! A group of friends & myself did the bottomless brunch on a Sunday, staff are super attentive and nice. The food is really nice and amazing quality, the next drink is put in front of you the minute you finish your current one which is a massive plus. You definitely get your moneys worth!!

Lily Beare Absolutely delicious vegetarian food!! We had the nourish bowl and the lions mane steak sandwich. Both so yummy and presented well.

I L Went in on Sunday whilst waiting to board the Puffing Billy Express. They switched the air con on which was effective (I hate the heat!). My partner was impressed with the breakfast, a full English job, her nephew said the steak sandwich and chips were great, in fact he said the chips were the best hed ever had (in his eleven years). I opted for the veggie salad which was very good. They even gave us free takeaway boxes as we had to dash off for the train.
