BBQ-K Glen Waverley - VIC

Amilliah I recently had dinner on Sunday night at BBQ-K in Glen Waverley and was really impressed. No booking at the place, Level 3, The food was delicious across the board, juicy meats, tasty marinades, great accompaniments, and everything felt fresh and cooked well. The setting is absolutely spacious with plenty of seating, which made the evening very comfortable. You can tell it’s a place built for groups. Despite being an à la carte place (not all you can eat) the value is great, especially when you factor in a drink. What stood out to me most was how generous the portions were. For under $40pp with a drink, you get more than enough food to feel very satisfied. The service was attentive, and things came out in a good pace so we weren’t left waiting between courses, they also helped cooked which we didnt expect. Overall, BBQ-K Glen Waverley delivers on flavour, comfort, and value. If youre after solid Korean BBQ without the AYCE rush, this is a great spot. Highly recommend!

RamenRamen - VIC

Amy S I ordered the plain omurice and it was absolutely delicious! The egg was perfectly soft and fluffy, and the flavour was simple but really satisfying. The sauce balanced it nicely without being too heavy. The price was very reasonable too, great value for such tasty food! Definitely recommend this place.

QQ鸡煲 Chicky Pot The Glen - VIC

Christopher Tao We discovered QQ Chicken Pot through recommendations on Xiaohongshu, and happened to walk past the restaurant one day, so we decided to give it a try. I’m glad we did — it truly didn’t disappoint. We ordered the Taiwanese Three Cup Chicken Pot, and the flavour was excellent and very authentic. The chicken itself was incredibly tender and well cooked. While the amount of chicken was a little less than I initially expected, we ended up ordering the three-person set, and in the end we were definitely full. What makes this place special is the experience after finishing the chicken. Once the chicken is eaten, the staff generously top up the pot with broth, allowing you to continue cooking other ingredients in the remaining Three Cup Chicken sauce. It’s an experience that feels similar to hot pot, but is clearly different — the base flavour isn’t a generic soup, but the actual sauce of the chicken pot you ordered. In our case, it was sweet, savoury, and full of aroma. We cooked beef, lamb, frozen tofu, glass noodles, and other ingredients in the pot, and everything tasted great. Even our daughter loved it and happily finished a full bowl of rice. The service was outstanding — the staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely enthusiastic throughout the meal. While I wouldn’t say this restaurant offers the absolute best value for money, the quality of the food and the level of service fully justify the price. Not every restaurant needs to compete purely on value — some places simply do what they do very well, and that alone deserves recognition. For that reason, I wouldn’t give this place anything less than five stars. Well done, and we’ll definitely be back.

Miss Ping’s - VIC

Howardwashere Surprisingly good, authentic Thai food given the location and mixed reviews. I have been to Thailand over 10 times so know what Im talking about. My parents enjoyed the food here and recommended this place for a family gathering. The service was excellent by all staff and the dishes were generous in size but more importantly, the flavours were authentic although lacked a bit of kick which suited the kids. Some dishes were slightly on the oily side and the only the other feedback was to bring a smaller ladle which could actually fit in the narrow Tom Yum hotpot. Will be back!

Herbal So Food and coffee was great. The udon hit the craving I had. Having a bookings available online is a great change theyve made. Price is on the higher end. And there is a time limit on my reservation. I guess thats the price of going to a popular brunch spot featured on every social media platform.
