Baggage Claim Philosopher Patently, A Cut Above feels like the sort of place you’re not supposed to know about, hidden inside the Berwick Springs Hotel like a discreet mafia nightclub where deals are done quietly and the food is used as leverage. You don’t wander in accidentally; you discover it, and then you wonder why no one told you sooner. We went for lunch with four people and ordered a small parade of starters and 1 main to share which immediately escalated into a full-blown commitment. The seafood linguine was divine, not just good, not just memorable, but genuinely the best I’ve had, the kind of dish that makes you pause mid-conversation and stare at the plate as if it’s betrayed you by being finite. The beef tataki was equally impressive, delicate and perfectly judged, while the oysters, topped with bacon jam or shaved yuzu ice, were confidently above par, playful without being silly, indulgent without apology. Dessert sealed it. The panna cotta was the best kind, calm, precise, elegant, and the sort of thing that convinces you restraint can still be thrilling. This is also a place that knows its drinks. We washed it all down with Piper-Heidsieck and what may very well be the best martini in town, the kind that makes you briefly consider ordering another and then wisely deciding not to. A Cut Above is high class, polished, and unapologetic about it. You pay for the best, and here, you actually get it. It’s the kind of restaurant that doesn’t announce itself loudly; it just delivers, quietly, confidently, and exceptionally.

Pat Perera Yummy food, friendly service, nice venue and good prices. The buffet had a good variety of food options, including many Sri Lankan favourites a very tasty pasta. Plenty of drink and dessert options too.

Epic Walrus Good without being great. Wanted to try a new place for us. You know when it’s good but nothing you would rave about or sell a body part to have again. Would like a deeper dish and if the girl serving us would smile. But overall a satisfactory experience and pretty good value for money

Ali D This café is truly my go-to spot. The food is consistently amazing — I’ve never had a bad meal here, and the lamb salad is my absolute favourite. It’s the kind of place you keep coming back to because you know it’s going to be good every single time. It can be a little hard to get into sometimes (which honestly just shows how popular it is!), but it’s always worth the wait. I also had a one-off issue on a recent visit, and the staff handled it so well. They were understanding, professional, and went above and beyond — even offering compensation when I didn’t ask for anything. That level of care really stood out. A fantastic café with great food, great service, and a great vibe. Highly recommend.

Calista Crofts The vegan pulled mushroom bowl was amazing! As was the excellent hospitality from a lovely young lady named Bridie. Very humbled when I asked for her name because she may have thought I was going to make a complaint, but nope! She is definitely what restores faith of working in hospo. Highly recommend giving this place a go! Busy, but worth the drive for such an amazing experience and meal.

Saimaz Latif Their Baramundi fish and panang curry are to die for. Excellent taste and quality is consistent. Do visit, reserve your table though.

Rajvinder Sareen We revisited Beaconsfield Kabab Shop yesterday and the quality and consistency were outstanding! The falafel wrap was absolutely delicious and incredibly fulfilling—packed with flavor and freshness in every bite. The fries were crispy, perfectly seasoned, and so fresh—definitely the best in town. My kids had the HSP chicken kebab, and they loved it! Always a hit with the whole family. Its clear that the quality of ingredients and the care put into every dish is top-notch. If youre looking for great food with a warm, friendly atmosphere, this is the place to be! Highly recommend to everyone. First Visit- I recently visited Beaconsfield Kebabs and was blown away by the flavors and quality of their HSP kabab and vegetarian falafel kebabs. The food was fresh, hot, and absolutely delicious. The service was friendly and attentive. I highly recommend Beaconsfield Kebabs to anyone looking for a tasty and satisfying meal. Ample of parking, open till late makes it a perfect spot for a late night craving. Cant wait to go back!
