1 /5 Zelan: I ordered via Uber Eats and was disappointed—the quality has gone down, and what arrived didn’t match what we ordered. With heaps of Sri Lankan food options in Melbourne, the competition should lift standards, not lower them. I paid $38 for “Lamprais,” but key components were missing. It’s hard to call it original without the essential elements that make Lamprais what it is. Please revisit your menu and be authentic.
The menu listed $33 for a dish that turned out to be plain ghee rice with some fried plantain. I received a curry, but I couldn’t even tell what the meat was. Unfortunately, everything ended up in the bin. Thanks for the late-night effort, but this missed the mark.
I raised the issue and was told it’s a “popular choice,” which didn’t explain the discrepancies. When I called the next day, I only received a “sorry, sir,” with no offer to resend the order or make it right. That response didn’t inspire confidence in how much customer care matters here.
I’m hoping you take this feedback seriously: be clear on your menu, deliver what’s advertised, and honour the authenticity of Sri Lankan dishes—especially Lamprais.
