3 /5 Criss_1401: Great food, too much waiting. We attended with my family on Sunday 15/2/26. Weve visited the restaurant on many occasions, and like I expected the staff members were friendly and the food was great overall, but they took too long. We must have waited 45 minutes before some food was served, and even more for the mains. I like Elevations and I think its a good restaurant, but they need to make sure they have enough staff in the kitchen and elsewhere. And the Sticky Date Pudding tasted like it was rushed through the microwave. If they could have the air con on in summer, that would be great too.

5 /5 Sophie Handris: Elevation is the word to describe this location. Set on a very steep hill, amongst the greenery, is this traditional log style built restaurant. Split level with a log burning heater, for those cold wintery days. The windows offer greenery views. There is a lunch menu available, or you can choose from the main menu. We enjoyed the pizza as it was thin based, with sufficient ingredients. The steak fries were also good, value for money. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The parking area, is limited and quite steep. A great place for lunch, dinner or a casual drink.

3 /5 Emma Lindsay: I tend to visit once a year and I feel Elevation needs a good clean and refresh. They were short staffed yesterday so order and receiving our meals took ages. The food is good though and the venue layout is lovely. But it does feel like its not being maintained as well as it could be.

I ordered the crumbed chicken, and what arrived was incredibly underwhelming. The meat itself was bland, lacking any seasoning or flavor, but more concerning was the state of the crumb—raw, pale, and clearly undercooked. In a venue equipped with a full commercial kitchen and access to quality ingredients, there’s simply no excuse for serving food in this condition. I found myself wondering: is this the result of inexperience in the kitchen, or just a lack of care? Either way, it reflects poorly on a restaurant that should be striving to provide a quality experience. That said, I want to be fair—the front-of-house staff were exceptional. They were friendly, attentive, and handled my concerns with professionalism. They even issued a refund for the meal without hesitation, which I appreciated. Ultimately, good service can’t make up for poor food. I truly hope Elevation at Emerald takes this feedback seriously and reevaluates their kitchen quality. The location and staff have great potential—it’s time the food matched that standard.
