I gorged on two mini "Savarinas a doughnut containing rum essence and whipped cream (similar to a rum baba without pineapple )the flavours explode in your mouth. See attached picture. For a more substantial meal you can try everything from chicken livers to cevapi(skinless sausages) vegetarians are catered for also with cabbage rolls amongst other Balkan delicacies. Under new ownership this cafe/restaurant is 5minutes drive from the Monash freeway and is a stones throw from the Hallam Hotel. The owner Ildi is a gregarious host with a beaming smile see attached picture. For Valentines DAY celebrate at Transylvania in Hallam limited seating please contact the owner. I had a Valentines Day slice of cake.

Chelsea Wilkinson Fantastic family-run business serving up some of the best homemade meals around. The lasagne is a real standout, absolutely delicious and always a favourite. The team is super friendly and welcoming, and the customer service is consistently great. You can tell they really care about what they do. Highly recommend giving this place a try!

Boyer Michael (The Hazy Squid) Lunch special is delicious and amazing value. $9.50 for one of these tubs of main and fried rice. We had lemon chicken, beef with black bean sauce and beef Sichuan sauce. Definitely recommend for a quick and tasty lunch. Dim sims not pictures were also so good, fresh and crispy fried.

Luke Richards Came here thier LP spicy burger but ended up getting thier LP (whatever its called Aussie burger) somehow with egg n beetroot so it was really great and has been the the to conquer list for awhile. Deffs come down here for a burger and probably other stuff. Happy to report thier are no alien ghosts contaminating the bathroom!!

Marty de Jong Shouldve read the reviews first. You cant call yourself a fish and chip shop if youre selling fake, pre crumbed and frozen scallops and calamari rings. Cmon guys, its not hard to cut a squid tube into rings and dip that and some decent scallops in a bit of batter....

Natalie Appelman Staff were nice and friendly. Id heard a fair bit of good feedback from friends and family so I had high hopes. Granted, what I ate, although soggy and oily, was nice. Unfortunately we had items forgotten, we waited in the shop and drove the 2 minutes home only to find the food a mess, oily and incredibly soggy. The family members I ate with were surprised as they eat here regularly and said it had never been like that before. The croquette was completely squished and everything was basically stuck together. Again, we also had 4 items that were forgotten but definitely paid for as we watched them write things down. Due to the great word of mouth Ill be giving them another chance, I guess it was just an off night, but I had I not heard previously that they were usually wonderful I wouldnt be coming back.

Sze- Han Soh Great spicy food, delicious to the last bite! All you can eat is simply fabulous! Best Sri Lankan Ive had so far!
