5 /5 Heidy Wandurraga: During my recent visit to Goldfields Café & Bar at South Wharf, I was struck by how seamlessly the venue combines relaxed elegance with refined dining; a perfect setting whether you plan to catch up with friends, enjoy a quiet coffee, or share a meal before or after an event. The café’s atmosphere is welcoming yet stylish, reflecting a thoughtful design that encourages both comfort and sophistication. The menu offers a generous variety of well‑crafted dishes and drinks, making it easy to find something both satisfying and tasteful. I appreciated the use of seasonal and locally sourced produce; a feature that gives each plate a genuine sense of place. Their beverage selection is particularly impressive: with wines by the glass, cocktails, and a well‑stocked bar, Goldfields provides more than just typical café fare; it offers a refined dining experience for those who appreciate good food and drink. On this visit, everything; from the comfortable seating to the attentive service, contributed to a pleasant, relaxed experience that felt more like a thoughtful break than a hurried stop. The balance of quality, ambience, and versatility makes Goldfields Café & Bar a standout destination in the South Wharf precinct. This visit reminded me that when a venue pays attention to ambiance, sourcing, and hospitality, even a simple meal can become a memorable and meaningful experience.

5 /5 klaudia c: Surprised by how good the coffee was. I didnt expect much because of the review rating but I didnt have better alternative since I was on time limit. Im a very picky coffee drinker. Ive ordered small Latte in the small mug (I dont drink from paper cups as it tastes much worse). To my surprise the coffee was smooth, delicate with balanced flavour (not overly milky). No sour taste or gritty sandy feel (some high ranked cafes serve that kind of coffee, not sure if people actually like it that way). So far its my 2nd best coffee place in Melbourne (after #Hash, which closed down few years ago, but their Magic was amazing). Today was my first visit, hopefully they are consistent with their coffee. Next time I might try magic (which is harder to make right).

5 /5 Philip Kilker-Elms: There is a good menu selection, and the team were very accommodating when catering for allergies. Good starting under sky windows and charging ports for laptops and wireless phone charging in most tables.

4 /5 Jono K: This place is probably the best restaurant/food establishment within the exhibition building complex/convention centre. Coffee and food here are good but menu is very limited and doesnt have much variety. Service and seating area is great. Had a 3 day conference here and come here on all 3 days. Nice sit down area but does get a bit on the noisy side. Will be back where there is another convention.
