Kanda Japanese Restaurant - Food VIC

4 /5 MEE KKE: I entered the restaurant around 8 PM on a weekday. The restaurant was quite quiet. They had rice balls as an appetizer. It took a while to prepare the food. Sake salad, the dressing is quite oily. Overall, the food was tasty and reasonable for the price. After I finished eating, the staff quickly cleared the table.

5 /5 cadiz Lau: We celebrated my mom’s birthday at Kanda and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The food was absolutely outstanding, very fresh sushi and every dish was full of flavour and beautifully presented. The service was equally impressive, warm, attentive, and made us feel so well looked after the entire evening.

1 /5 Richard Llewellyn: Their menu shows a picture of sashimi with 4x Tuna 4x White fish & 8x salmon- what they delivered is the paltry amount shown in the photo below. A complete misrepresentation. The owner’s response is another fabrication - please see photo of their Menu showing what I ordered and the price, apart from the photo there is nothing about portion size. This is actually fraudulent!

1 /5 Ashton Cohen: I ordered chicken catsu and it was awful. They took 30 minutes to give me my chicken. It was awful and I would never go back even if I was offered 1 billion dollars. It did not look very appealing. It was my second choice because the bigger and better place was closed. The yakatori was dry and bland and over cooked as well there were people not using there inside voices and it hurt my ears. There was no prawn in my PRAWN gyoza was disgusting. I flew from Sydney to try this and it was horrible. The person I had could barely speak English Duolingo is an amazing English teacher btw. So to sum it up (tier 3 language) it was horrendous and would NEVER GO BACK. PS shi

2 /5 Paul Jury: The fish was fresh & well presented with the house deluxe served on a junk model. However why include seafood extender (without any warning of content) in the Californian rolls. Its a disgusting product full of chemical additives. The chef told me "everyone does it" - no they dont & that was the wrong answer to my complaint. Its dangerous for many & should be highlighted on the menu. Please exclude this product or include it with a full description. The floor crew are great. Response to.owner..... You missed my point about including seafood extender - a revolting artificial product full of chemicals & red dye. When I order fish I do not expect to be served an artificial product. It was only when halfway through eating the house deluxe I realised the presence of seafood extender. I did not ask for a refund - I was simply asking you to consider leaving such a disgusting product out of your kitchen. All the fish was very good & well presented - why include such artificial rubbish on your menu. The majority of good restaurants wouldnt dream of including such a bad product. Wrong decision guys!
