Tom Phat - VIC

Diane M We enjoyed a nice night with good food at Tom Phat. The staff were very helpful with ordering and while it was a little slow - they were very busy - it was within the bounds of reasonable. The food was fresh, aromatic and delicious! Hard to pick which was the yummiest, but the spring rolls and mango rice pudding were definitely highlights. The price was so reasonable too! Would go back again.

Semosh Mums Kitchen - Brunswick - VIC

Winnie T So unbelievably delicious. We ordered twice in 4 days and tried different food on the menu and they are ALL SO DELICIOUS. Like paying a visit to my Mediterranean friend and getting treated a dinner by the mum because everything is really home made by the mum! We are on a special diet and they can still cater to our dietary needs while making the food AMAZING. My only complaint is they don’t open everyday. 10 stars!!

Postmistress Eatery - VIC

Monica Echeverria Postmistress balances style, comfort and good food. From the moment you walk in, the vibe feels polished but warm, perfect for brunch, lunch, dinner or casual catch-ups. The service is friendly and attentive without being overbearing, which makes the whole experience feel easy and relaxed. The menu has a good variety of options, and the dishes and cocktails I tried were fresh, well-executed and flavorful. Portions are generous without being excessive, and there’s something for most tastes. One thing that really stood out was the presentation. The atmosphere is enjoyable, not too loud, not too quiet and the interior design gives a sense of sophistication without feeling pretentious. Check the weekend rush, it does get busy, so booking ahead helps. Perfect if you like good photos + good food (ambience is very Instagram-friendly). Easy to pair with a walk around nearby shopping or sightseeing areas. Overall, Postmistress delivers a delicious, relaxed and well-rounded experience. Worth a stop if you’re exploring Melbourne and want a meal that feels both thoughtful and satisfying.

Good Days Brunswick - VIC

Alan Goh Good pho and grilled chicken broken rice. We ordered the chicken pho, beef pho, grilled chicken broken rice. The beef pho was outstanding, very tasty broth with lots of raw vegetables, just like in Vietnam. The grilled chicken was also outstanding. If you take a look at the attached video, you can see the fiery grilling in action that gave it that slight char taste. Will be back again when we come here after Bouldering.

El Manglar - VIC

Berenice Ethel Chua Pleasant South American dining experience, nailed the brief. Staff were very friendly, wine list also decently priced. My favorites were the cucayo and beef tamales, although all the other dishes were still super yummy. Big word of caution though, come with patience, it takes about 20 minutes for entrees to come and about another 30 - 40 minutes for mains to come. They do warn you when you’re seated that this is the South American style, so it can be challenging when you’re used to the Aussie way. Otherwise, I had a wonderful dinner!

Tibas Restaurant - VIC

zudiac shin Had a great time at Tiba’s Lebanese Restaurant in Brunswick — super generous portions, real good food, and a chill vibe. What I loved: The mixed grill platter was awesome — heaps of meat, fresh dips, pita bread, salad and pickles. You definitely leave full. The Lebanese dips (hummus, baba ghanoush, etc) were fresh and tasty. Good value: you’re paying for big servings and good flavour. One review said “one platter is enough to share between 2”. The atmosphere is casual and family-friendly, good for a relaxed meal rather than something super fancy. A couple of things to know: The décor & fit-out are a bit basic, so if you’re after somewhere luxurious this might not be it. One guest mentioned the space was “packed to get the maximum bums to seats”. Service can be hit or miss when it’s busy, menus might take a little while and waitstaff are managing a lot. Final word: If you’re after hearty, tasty Lebanese food without breaking the bank, Tiba’s is a solid pick. Bring your appetite and enjoy. I’ll definitely go back.

TAVERNA - VIC

Alice Nixon We came here for dinner and had a wonderful experience. The service was amazing and the staff were well versed on the menu. We shared four mains between 7 people which was perfect. We all thought the bread and was especially delicious. There was no wait for a table on a Thursday night.
