Laksa King Southland - Food VIC

1 /5 Ana Annear: I’ve been coming to this restaurant since it first opened and it used to be one of my favourite places. Unfortunately, after my visit today I left very disappointed. Everything seems to have changed. The menu is different, the drinks that used to be large are now much smaller, and the overall experience is not the same anymore. The food arrived cold and lacked flavour, which was really surprising because it used to be so good. The service has also changed and the whole atmosphere feels different. It seems like there may have been a change in ownership, and sadly the quality has gone down a lot. This used to be my favourite restaurant, but after the menu and management changes I honestly can’t recommend it anymore. Very disappointing.

5 /5 charlotte l: YOU NEED TO VISIST the beef laska was absolutely amazing, rich and creamy and not too spicy, full off noodles egg and rice and had plenty of beef and some tofu aswell which was good. Food came out super fast around 10 minutes. Which was suprising because it was busy, the robot servers were a funny little toutch to the restraunt, all the kids laughing and watching as they drive past. Kitchen staff are super nice aswell. Would reccomend this place to anyone even if your not a fan of Laska this place will make you want to try one

4 /5 Theodoros: Laksa king restaurant has one of the best Laksa you can have I enjoyed it thoroughly. We had some sautéed chicken sticks as well and they compare pretty much too. The sauté chicken sticks in Singapore. Very delicious. The atmosphere was nice. The only thing I didn’t like about the place they had robots bringing the food to us and we had to take them off the tray. I would rather have a human serve us.

5 /5 E L: Excellent laksa - thick, creamy, aromatic broth. Slightly too salty and the chicken was pretty dry unfortunately. Nasi goreng was fantastic as well - good wok hei and smokiness throughout. Portions were very generous especially given the low price. Great value. Would have probably cost me twice as much to make a broth that good at home.

2 /5 Maral Tecer: Laksa King used to great, but it’s become pretty hit or miss lately. My most recent laksa tasted more like a tom yum – sour and lacking that rich, coconut-based depth you’d expect from a good laksa broth. The portion size is still generous, but unfortunately, the flavour just isn’t there anymore. It feels like the quality has slowly gone downhill. Disappointing for a place that once set the standard.
