Imogen Stubbs Always reliably excellent for pizza, service and atmosphere. I come here early with kids and theyre so sweet to them and Ive come later with friends and its always a nice vibe. The pizza is SO delicious, you have to try the Menta and $20 is a bargain. Everyone working there are always friendly and welcoming.

We had the most amazing time and Jamie and Secco made the whole event so much fun, smooth and easy. In general the wine is outstanding and the food is awesome too! Easily one of the best bars in Melbourne!

Doug McGregor Attended 4 days post the re-opening on a wet and stormy Sunday night - the place was full! Michael and the team were welcoming and the service was friendly. The Chicken Snitty was the best Ive had for some time, it was perfect. Plenty of beer choices on tap and in cans, wine list is short but something for everyone. A bonus is the dedicated Pool room with free pool! Will visit again to take advantage of the beer garden on a nicer night.

Bronte Senn One of the most divine meals I’ve had in Melbourne in months (if not years!). The food at Carnation had us genuinely ordering more and more after each course came. The flavours in each dish were so well thought out and balanced and a seat at the bar allowed us to really appreciate the thought that went into each meal. Already planning when we can next make it back!! Will say on the pricier side - $24 for an aperol spritz was a bit too much in our opinion - but very well worth it. Music playing was fab too!! Lots of Blood Orange - love!

Phillip Edward Ness Next Door may only be true if you live in Fitzroy North but Next Door Pizza is worth a visit. I would say the pizzas are good, they’re not a traditional wood fired style, but for what they are they’re done well. You would get this over Domino’s or Crust any day of the week. The best thing about it are the staff, so friendly and helpful and clearly know their way around a pizza. Dirk was feeling camera shy but he very much enjoyed his experience here.

Barry Had the classic double which consist of two smash beef patties, cheese, grilled onions, pickles and their house made sauce, as well as a side of fries with dipping sauce. The food was served in five minutes after ordering which was fast. Fries were abundant and can easily be shared between two people; they were very crispy and well seasoned with salt, and the elmo sauce gave a nice creamy, sweet and tangy flavour. As for the burger, you get to first enjoy the paper thin crispy edges of the smash beef patty before reaching the soft and meaty centre which blended well with the melty cheese and a bit of the sweet grilled onions and the acidity from the pickles. The elmo sauce in the burger was subtle but I had some extra dipping sauce from the fries to add to which worked out. Overall it was a tasty smash burger done well with some leftover fries to take home; the staffs were nice and friendly. Highly recommend getting at least a double for a good meat to bun ratio.

Paris Nash Always such a treat to go to just Falafs! Always lovely service, good vibes and fresh vibrant flavours that make fresh and healthy food taste like a treat. I always look forward to coming here or spending a night in with a vegan date night bundle.

Alexia Pearce Delicious food and great portion sizes. The staff were so lovely and efficient too. Lots of veggie options available! We will be back :)

Raghav Tandon This place is a hidden gem placed right next door to Laksa king does not get the popularity or the recognition that it deserves. It is far better than its competitor and has the best laksa in town. Much more traditional and less whitewashed. Definitely an authentic experience with fantastic staff and service
