5 /5 Lauren: Manosalwa is a hidden gem in Clayton and one of the best halal Pakistani restaurants I’ve been to. The restaurant is spotless and elegant — the staff are constantly cleaning, even wiping down tables and corners whenever they have a spare moment. Even the restroom is stocked with Sukin hand wash and paper towels, which shows how much attention they pay to detail.
For food, I highly recommend the Butter Chicken paired with their fresh naan options — butter naan, garlic naan, cheese naan, or the beef/lamb stuffed naan. The naan here is soft, fragrant, and way better than the small portion of turmeric rice they sometimes include with kebabs (tip: remember to note “no rice” when ordering). The kebabs are also a great deal since they come with two naans included. Another must-try is the Mango Lassi — it’s made with their own house yogurt and fresh mango, not a premade mix, which makes it extra refreshing and natural.
The service is excellent — very attentive without being intrusive. On top of that, they even offer a 10% discount for cash payments, making it fantastic value for money.
The owner is from Pakistan and his wife is from Xinjiang, and together they speak Chinese, English, Urdu, Arabic, and Russian at a native level. It really feels like a bridge of cultures and a warm symbol of China–Pakistan friendship.
Highly recommended if you’re in Clayton and looking for authentic, tasty, and affordable halal food. Happy to meet the really elegant beautiful lady
