5 /5 this.is_melbourne: Recently visited this place and honestly the menu really stood out. It’s not your usual restaurant menu, lots of interesting combinations and flavours that make you curious to try different dishes.
We started with the house-made flatbread with labneh and honeycomb, which was simple but really well done. The Hokkaido scallops with yuzu hollandaise and XO sauce were probably one of the highlights, super fresh and full of flavour. The prawn dumplings with creamy ginger soy sauce were also great and had a nice balance of spice from the chilli oil.
For mains, the spanner crab linguine with lobster bisque was rich and comforting, and the chicken skewer with toum and sumac had really nice Middle Eastern flavours. Even the sides like the duck fat potatoes and charred broccolini were done really well.
We finished with the Basque cheesecake with blackberry compote, which was the perfect way to end the meal.
Apart from the food, the ambience was awesome, stylish but still relaxed, making it a great spot for a casual dinner or a night out with friends. Definitely a place I’d come back to try more of the menu.
