4 /5 Jason Lew: Very good food. We had the “Pearl set menu”, however the Gongbao Crispy Sesame Chicken was not available and was replaced by a prawn dumpling and a wagyu beef dumpling instead. Both were excellent and if they were examples of the quality of the dim sum on offer if choosing to “yum cha”, then the yum cha here would be very good too. All dishes bar one in the 10 course meal were very well executed. The salt and pepper calamari was very tender but lacked flavour. A little bit more salt and pepper would have elevated that course. As we were celebrating a birthday, the restaurant threw in a complimentary dessert of a coconut pannacota in the shape of a carp fish - symbolism for surplus or bounties for the year and every year. It was a very nice touch. Ming Dining is in its 3rd year of operation, taking over the site previously occupied by “Quanjude”, a branch of the famous Beijing restaurant serving authentic Beijing-style duck, typically served 3 ways. Quanjude Melbourne closed in July 2022.

5 /5 Suthinee Teeraphapphun: Elegant modern Chinese cuisine with beautifully presented, well-balanced flavours. Every dish was refined and thoughtfully executed, from the dumplings to the duck. Special thanks to Shuan and Lina for their excellent, warm, and attentive service. They truly elevated the experience.

5 /5 Ayana C: What a great first meal to have in Melbourne. The staff are attentive and thoughtful. The food was well prepared and delicious. I loved the slow cooked pork, truffle rice and garlic broccoli. They were so nice. They gave us some recommendations and local tips on sites to visit while here in Melbourne. They also had great vegetarian options available. And the surprise panna cotta was so thoughtful and delish. I hope I have time to visit again before I leave.

5 /5 Sunnie Yan: We were very happy with tonight’s dinner. We ordered the $58 per person set menu, and every dish tasted great—especially the salt and pepper calamari and the black pepper wagyu beef. Today was my dad’s birthday, and the restaurant also treated us to champagne and dessert. The manager was very kind as well, introducing the dishes to us and chatting with us.

5 /5 Katie Goldberg: Hubby and I came for the bottomless brunch and honestly left wondering how this even exists in the Melbourne CBD. Seven courses of genuinely delicious modern Asian food, fine-dining vibes, and bottomless drinks for $69pp feels almost too good to be true. The food was the real standout - beautifully presented, full of flavour, and paced perfectly. A great mix of veg and non-veg options too, which we loved. Every course felt thoughtful rather than filler, and the truffle fried rice alone was worth the visit. The drinks just kept coming (eight different cocktails included!), service was attentive without being overbearing, and the whole experience felt relaxed but special - ideal for a long, boozy weekend brunch. We’ll absolutely be back and recommending this to everyone. If you’re after a high-quality bottomless brunch without the ridiculous price tag, this is a no-brainer.
