1 /5 James: Not good! My family and I came in expecting a nice dinner, but what we experienced was very different from what this restaurant used to offer. What Happened!!! From the moment we arrived, it felt more like a fast-food setup than a sit-down meal. Ordering and paying at the counter is fine, but being handed a buzzer, collecting our own food, and eating out of cardboard takeaway boxes with wooden cutlery really took away from the dining experience. No glassware, just plastic cups. Service was almost non-existent, as they have removed all table service.
The menu has also changed quite significantly - by that I mean a downgrade instead of an upgrade. I mean first it was the lemon potatoes (from the previous menu) but now the cocktails, some of the house-made drinks and EVEN THE LEGENDARY SKEWERS!! Disappointing, especially as those were part of what made this place feel special before. Combined with the new service style, it no longer feels like a restaurant at all, and definitely not one worth dining in at.
As for the food itself- the quality was questionable. Portions were noticeably smaller. While prices might look similar, youre getting less than before. it just didnt feel like good value.
I really didnt want too write this review but I feel like I just needed to say something. I can see that Im not the first to leave a review of the same topic. I’ve been a loyal customer since the early days back in 2017, when this place was genuinely one of my favourites. I dont want this to be my last visit to Miss Pickle but given the changes it feels like it may be. I am beyond upset to see what has happened to miss Pickle, and I know I’m not the only long-time customer who feels this way. I really hope management takes feedback like this seriously, because changes like these risk losing the loyal customers who supported the business from the beginning.
I seriously hope they re-consider their choices, everyone knows miss Pickle for their great food, service, and HUGE portion sizes. Dont lose that reputation!
