April Wilson We had such a wonderful time at this taphouse! The atmosphere was welcoming, the beers were excellent, and the food truly exceeded our expectations. We ordered the beef ribs, chicken salad, and seafood linguini, and everything was spot on. The pasta was cooked perfectly, beautifully seasoned, and the seafood was fresh and flavorful. The beef ribs were absolutely outstanding fall off the bone tender, juicy, and seasoned just right without being too salty. The cabbage served alongside added a lovely balance and freshness to the dish. I devoured every bite and loved it. The chicken salad was refreshing and well put together, and while the chips were a little on the dry side, with a small improvement they’d be perfect. Overall, my family and I were very impressed and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Great beer, fantastic food, quick and friendly service. Overall a wonderful dining experience, we’ll definitely be back!

Stephanie Watkins What a gorgeous venue. We love the Northern Git. My husband and I started coming here years ago when we first moved into the neighbourhood. Our go-to is always the pie (drool!), the snitzel, cauliflower croquettes and koftas - Don’t forget the crackling! Over the years, we have brought family and friends along to dine with us and they have all loved it too. The Git’s owners and Chef, Michael and Karine, have been SO welcoming over the years it only felt right to have our wedding here. Best. Decision. Ever. The lead up to our wedding, Karine and Michael were willing to accommodate absolutely EVERYTHING. No query or favour was too big and they truly went over and above for our big day. I only wish we could do it all again! The service (as always) was impeccable and it was great that our guests noticed and gave wonderful feedback. They were all over it! Dietary requirements were all taken seriously and accommodated with vegetarians, coeliac’s and vegan guests all catered for. It made life for us very easy. We had the most wonderful night but we are so looking forward to spending even more dates, anniversaries and birthdays here to see our old friends and enjoy the ambiance, service and good grub that the Git has to offer. Thank you Michael and Karine for making our first ever date one we never forgot and wedding night one we’ll never forget. Absolute legends xx

Avegan Abroad The food here was excellent, and the wine list equally impressive. Service was attentive and friendly throughout. The only downside was the seating. Our table felt a bit crammed in, positioned quite close to neighbouring tables and near the door, which made it feel less relaxed. We also found ourselves a little rushed by how quickly courses arrived, leaving us short on table space at times. That said, the atmosphere was great and Id looking forward to returning.

Sonia B A great way to spend a cold Sunday afternoon with live Jazz from 4.30pm that comes with delicious food and drinks including mocktails. Really sorry to hear 1800 Lasagna is closing. What a loss! Signature dish of meat lasagne and garlic bread didn’t disappoint nor did the exceptional service. The dark chocolate gelato topped with raspberries and pistachios was a delightful way to finish off the meal. Thank you to the team including front and back of house staff. We’ll be back to try the other dishes soon. From the other tables they looked just fab.

Joana Montalvo Love this new place in town! Authentic Mexican food, drinks, vibe, people and wonderful service all in one place, I feel like in Mexico! The quesadilla placera, tacos, huaraches and enfrijoladas con cochinita so good!! The tortillas are homemade (normal and blue ones) that is a plus! Highly recommended, I will be back soon☺️☺️

laurie cini This restaurant has a fabulous crew who produce the most amazing Greek cuisine. It’s like a Sunday afternoon lunch at your fave Greek grandparents place. The produce is so beautifully prepared and presented and the staff will do anything to please. It’s easily one of the best Greek restaurants in Melbourne. Great value, staff and cuisine from the dips to deserts everything is just an explosion of fresh flavours and gyros mastery. I love this place Get in there and enjoy the amazing deserts at the end of your meal as well; heavenly!

Patrice As soon as you walk in, you know youre in the right place. Atmosphere is great. Staff members were very welcoming and we were seated and given menus in no time. Each person we encountered was attentive, efficient and friendly. We ordered from the Starters - a prawn skewer, lamb spiced hummus, and beef meatballs. All three dishes were delightful and delicately spiced. Also, there was enough food for the two of us. We ordered a drink each as well. I was pleasantly surprised when the bill was only $59. We want to go back and try some of the delicious mains.

Auntie Jay I was here for lunch catch up with friends. Soon i entered there was a staff(or the owner) greeting and help to be seated. I’ve been here a few times but was inside. This time chose the outdoor space under the shade of a tree and i like it. The staff clean the table for us and wait until we are ready to order. I ordered lemonade and veggie stack for lunch. It’s good we can split bills.
