Manisha Sethi We tried Booran Fish & Chips for the first time tonight. Had Fish burgers and Potato cakes. OMG....the BEST we have eaten. Firstly the shop is unlike others where you walk in and you get that oil and frying smell. This place is clean and well ventilated so no oily smells. Very neat and clean. Secondly the owners Florentina and TJ were absolutely delightful. So lovely, welcoming and nice people. Finally the food was fantastic. The burgers were made so generously, the fish was so fresh and perfectly fried(not one of those pre made, half fried fish pieces), fresh salad and extremely good for the price. The Potato cakes were sooooo huge, had the perfect batter coating and again great value for the price. The food was made with love. I highly recommended the Fish burger and Potato cakes. Do give this place a try. We will surely be back....this will now be our go to Fish & Chip shop. Lovely meeting you Florentina & TJ and we wish you the very best.

Lily I booked for lunch for group of 15 people - the manager was very helpful. Had a quiet space allocated to us. Adults and children were looked after. I had rung a few places previously but they all wanted a set menu for the group, or large deposit to guarantee booking. Lovely venue and food, young staff also very helpful.

Nino Piscitelli Fortunate to randomly select this cafe driving home through Caulfield over the weekend. The five of us which included one small child were served one of the most beautiful brunch meals Ive personally ever had. Make sure to drop by if youre ever in the area, highly recommended.

What’s amazing is that i have been to all their branches, at Glen Waverley, Chadstone, Emporium, and Melbourne Central, they all deliver the same consistent, high-quality flavours every time. The menu has plenty of variety, from wagyu bowls to noodles and other Japanese favourites, all prepared with care and fresh ingredients. The service is always amazing, friendly, attentive, and efficient. The modern, lively atmosphere makes it a perfect spot for lunch or dinner. OMI has mastered consistency and quality across all locations, so no matter which branch you visit, the food tastes just as amazing as the first time. Highly recommend for anyone craving top-notch Japanese cuisine in Melbourne.

Adventurous Observer We had a fantastic experience at Louis’s Dumpling Bar during the Lunar New Year celebrations tonight. Despite the restaurant being completely full and us not having a booking, the team went out of their way to accommodate us, which we truly appreciated. The service was attentive and professional throughout the evening. My daughter and I had a fantastic experience here. The dumplings were excellent — perfectly cooked, juicy, and full of flavour. Every dish was well executed, and the jelly dessert was beautifully balanced and refreshing. It’s clear a lot of care has gone into both the menu and the overall dining experience. The atmosphere was vibrant, especially with the lion dance performance adding festive energy to the night. The tables overlooking the Chadstone walkway provide a lovely setting, making it a great place for both casual dinners and special occasions. A special mention to Steven, the manager, who was warm, welcoming and ensured everything met a high standard. Congratulations to the team on a strong new opening — we look forward to returning.
