George Slavchev We came to The Clifford on a whim on a Saturday night — we wanted dinner somewhere in the area and I saw the reviews, so decided to try it.
Boy, was this a treat!
We walked in and we were immediately shown to a table. The place was very busy, but there were still 2-3 tables available.
The menu looked very nice.
We started with the jalapeño croquettes, which were magical — fluffy and so delicious, with just the right amount of a kick.
I decided to try the paella while my partner ordered a steak.
Everything arrived promptly, yet, the owner himself came to apologise for the wait, saying how busy they were - there was honestly barely any wait. This was such a nice touch and showcased the fantastic service and the expectations staff set for themselves.
Everything was incredibly delicious. The paella wasn’t authentic, but it didn’t have to be, as it was packed with calamari, mussels, and chorizo, and it was so tasty.
The steak and its accompanying potatoes were great too.
We decided to share a chocolate mousse for a dessert and this was a standout — it was a bit hard which surprised me, but, once it hit your tongue, it was soft and indulgent — amazing!
Absolutely loved The Clifford and would definitely come back to try more of their menu!
