5 /5 Saptoto Agus Pamungkas: Olinda cafe is the best cafe with delicious food. Im from Indonesia, and have business trip at Melbourne, and having lunch at this cafe. At the same time the wheater is rainy, a little bit so cool and comfortable. The food is delicious, the beverage also yummy, but for me as indonesian person, i think the portion is so big. You must try this cafe

2 /5 Elena: Not customer oriented My husband and I used to visit the Olinda Cafe each time we are in Olinda visiting Dandenong Botanic Gardens. They have beautiful paintings from the local artist and we have bought three paintings already. Today there were three of us - my husband, my son and me - in the morning we came to have breakfast and coffee and later came to have lunch. My husband had business online call and he needed his computer to be plugged to be charged. Initially we took a three seat table near the window and as there was no socket he moved to another small table to have his Skype. We stayed at the table near the window me also working at the computer At this point staff members asked us to move off to that table my husband moved to. At this point I should mention that the Cafe was half empty and a lot of tables were not occupied as well as were no reservation signs on them and it was just one hour before closure of the cafe. I tried to explain this to staff but they insisted we should move to that table. I understand when there are a lot of people , when it s busy time / it’s all ok But at the time there were so many free tables that it sounded ridiculous We moved to that small table and had our lunch/skypes on this small tables with a lot of free other tables nearby. The question is - what matters for cafe - just rules or customer orientation or customers themselves? Should a customer feel happy and comfortable when visiting a cafe or just eat lunch with two computers on their legs - with a table fully packed with food and dishes - with unpleasant feeling afterwards? It’s a customer who pays your salary, isn’t it? Should we care about customer orientation and satisfaction or not? Does it matter at all?
