Sunanda Sahoo We went for girls night here and every thing was perfect. The ambience, food, customer service. We got the hopper pack with chicken curry and fish curry , kotthu, chicken biryani. It all tasted so good. The staff was super friendly and smiling. They were so accommodating to mu allergies as well. Must try place for if you wanna try Sri Lankan cuisine

Helen Trand I love dining at Elous! Marios & Olivia are so welcoming and create a great atmosphere, the food is to DIE FOR! The homemade sausages & sardines in vine leaf are my favourite. I also love that I can buy a bottle of wine from their selection and share it rather than buy per glass. It makes it very good value

Jessie Cronshaw The Morang (a relatively new cafe / restaurant in Hawthorn) is an absolute gem!!!! The decor is tasteful and inviting. The staff are friendly, helpful and lovely. I thought there was a great variety of options across all of their breakfast, lunch and dinner menus. It stood out to me how affordable theyve priced it considering what was on offer. My coffee was beautiful - so smooth, delicious and the perfect temperature to my taste. One of my top 3 in Melbourne now. I visited for lunch and went with the Grilled Barramundi by reccomendation. I am so glad I did, I was blown away. The curry sauce was creamy, vibrant and delicious. The Barramundi was fresh, succulent and cooked to perfection. I thought the beans, sweet potato and cherry tomatoes tied the dish together well, still thinking about tasty they were dipped in the sauce. Lyndon Walker With a full vegan menu as well as an omni one you will be spoiled for choice no matter what your dietary preferences are. We ordered field mushroom entree, superfood salad and mushroom risotto mains, and fudge and ice cream desserts. Every single dish was incredible. Beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. The staff are friendly and attentive. An A++ experience all round.

L V Many good cafe in Hawthorn East but this is a local gem! Good coffee, cute place and exceptionally good food. The duck toastie was so satisfying and the chicken katsu sandwich was on point capturing all the essence of the katsu. Crunchy but not oily, cooked though but still juicy. Not bland, not salty, not too greasy, not dry, just right. All the elements come together and work in harmony. While this is not as fancy as Shanklin, it was more satisfying for me as it has good portion and good smoothie.

Amilliah Loved my night out at Amazon State, it’s seriously one of the best spots around for either a chill solo meal or a celebratory dinner with a big group. I had the gnocchi and it was spot on: pillowy soft, rich sauce, and full of that comforting pasta goodness I was craving. Amazon State works equally well whether you’re dining alone or with friends, the vibe is flexible and welcoming. The space feels plush and stylish, but not pretentious. Their drink list is impressive. Drinks and cocktails pair beautifully with the food offerings. Service was friendly and attentive, the team made sure I felt relaxed from start to finish. The setting is lovely and the ambiance hits just right, cozy enough for a solo night but vibrant enough for a group dinner.

Summer J I feel so lucky to be able to enjoy such rich perilla seed samgyetang in Melbourne! The regular samgyetang was delicious too. The broth was really comforting.. If you’re looking for something hearty, this is definitely worth trying.
