Apoorva Rai I visited Grand Restaurant’s new Truganina branch and this place absolutely delivered on flavour, hospitality and value. From the moment I walked in, the team made me feel genuinely welcomed, the kind of warmth that instantly sets the tone for a great meal.
We started with their signature platter featuring Sheek Kebab, Malai Boti and Tikka Boti. Every piece was juicy, smoky and perfectly cooked, the kind of platter where you keep reaching for “just one more.” The samosa chaat followed and it was a standout: crunchy, tangy, sweet, spicy… all the textures and flavours you want in a proper chaat.
Their lunch special even includes a full chicken biryani, which was warm, fragrant and incredibly comforting.
But the highlight of the visit was the thali. It truly felt like a midday celebration. The dal fry tasted like home, the paneer butter masala had real depth, the chicken Manchurian was flavour-packed and the pahadi gosh was rich, hearty, and beautifully cooked. Add in the rice, raita, naan, gulab jamun and hot tea and you have a complete, satisfying meal that leaves you full and happy.
A huge thank you to the entire team for the warm hospitality and for feeding me like family. This new Truganina branch is absolutely worth visiting with generous portions, authentic flavours and a menu that makes you want to come back and try more.
Highly recommend.
