Jack & Daisy - VIC

Lisa S The food here was sensational. The zuchinni fritters with chimichurri are the best in Melbourne! (Note photo I asked for fried egg not poached)

Ferrovia Cafe - VIC

Bee See Got a takeaway coffee and almost topped cake. Coffee was amazing, served in white unbranded cups, and the cake was light and airy. Def come back to try more as the owners are experienced and lovely to chat to.

Sri Ananda Bhavan - VIC

Backpackergurls A pure vegetarian South Indian dining spot in Narre Warren that you’ll definitely want to come back to! We had such a satisfying and wholesome experience at Anand Bhavan. We started off refreshing with buttermilk and rose milk — the perfect way to begin a South Indian feast. The rasa vada was soft, comforting, and full of flavour. The Chef’s Special Mysore Masala Dosa was a standout — beautifully crisp on the outside with a spicy, indulgent filling inside. The paneer rava dosa was golden, crunchy, and absolutely satisfying. We also tried the pizza uttapam — a fun western twist on a South Indian classic — and the bisibelebath, which was hearty and comforting, just like a warm home-style meal. The true highlight was the Anand Bhavan Kalyana Sappadu — a wholesome traditional spread that genuinely celebrates authentic South Indian cuisine. We ended on a sweet note with pineapple kesari rava, which was nostalgic, soft, and perfectly balanced. What makes this place even better is that they prepare their dosa batter fresh in-house, offer Jain options for most dishes, and provide friendly, cooperative service. It’s pure vegetarian, has plenty of car parking, and makes for an easy, satisfying dining experience. Highly recommend if you’re craving authentic South Indian flavors in Narre Warren!

Afghani Burger - برگر افغانی - VIC

Shah Asghari Absolutely FANTASTIC, at start I was skeptic if they could capture the same flavors from back home. Surprisingly they have outdone themselves, not just the spices but the meat also has that Watan feeling, if you know what I mean. Very Well done.

H&D Hot Food Rolls & Bowls - VIC

Maria Dougiakis Absolutely worth the wait !it gets quite busy … but you know it’s going to be fresh . My favourite is the Beef Pho .. it’s very consistent and a generous serve even as a takeaway. The rice paper rolls are always freshly made to order and never collapse like rice paper rolls made too far in advance . I like the pork and prawn and the chicken and prawn . You can ask for the sauce to have the peanuts or chilli omitted if that’s what you prefer because even the sauce is freshly put together! I ring my lunch order in and have become a regular. The shop has built up a following of customers quite quickly since they opened due to their food and service being consistent. Thank you H&D for a healthy fresh lunch option .

SMASH Burger Club x SLAPPIN’ Hot Chicken (Hallam) - VIC

Amilliah Slapping Hot Chicken was such a fun and tasty stop! I went to the food truck, sat at the outdoor tables and had a great time enjoying good eats and relaxed vibes. I ordered the chopped cheese wagyu burger with chips, which was juicy, flavourful and really satisfying, a perfect mix of melted cheese, seasoned wagyu and crisp edges. The strawberry lemonade was super refreshing and slightly sweet tangy, exactly what you want on a casual day at a food truck. Sitting outside at the food truck tables made the whole experience feel laid back and social, great for a quick bite or a casual lunch with friends. The staff were friendly and the setup was easy, which made everything smooth from ordering to eating outdoors.

rebels feast & flavour - VIC

Andre Roleff Had a fantastic feed from a new local favourite, gave this place a crack after I accidentally used some bad chicken in my risotto and I decided to let doordash come to my rescue. They were running some nice 2 for 1 deals so I thought Id give it a crack, ordered 2 of the Bondi burgers, a serve of chips and 2 caramel shakes. Not too long after got a call from the driver who passed me to the owner who informed me hed unfortunately run out of milk, this was no problem and the commutation was fantastic. Burgers rocked up nice and hot, fantastic portion and great flavour. They were nice and juicy, packed with fresh ingredients and tasted great. Like a classic burger with the lot but better, chips were well salty and nice and crispy. Ill definitely order from here again soon!

Halal Fusion Taco - VIC

Atifa Ahmed We came here to try the birria tacos and were not disappointed! Both the tacos and the milk tea were a solid 10/10. The owner also generously let us sample a new chicken taco that hasn’t hit the menu yet, and it was just as amazing! Delicious food and genuinely great service from all the staff to match. Definitely recommending this spot to family and friends. Well be back :)
