4 /5 Ze W T: It was my first time visiting SOKO Japanese Canteen. They only open Monday to Friday from 8 am to 2.30 pm. I didnt try any food that day, but they have sushi lunches, donburi, salad set, and bento choices to choose from. They have a big kitchen behind the counter, constantly making fresh batches of food. There are not many sitting areas to dine in, but I can see most office workers come in and take away mostly.
I was impressed with the selection of Japanese products available at cheaper prices compared to our usual grocery store. I did buy a few types of frozen daifuku (cream daifuku strawberry, green tea, and red bean white daifuku) to try at home. They all taste really nice. Its really soft after thawing.
Very friendly staff. One of them came over to explain the products and how they are used in dishes. It helps with deciding which products to buy.
I will definitely try their sushi / bento in the future. But I do wish they open on Saturday so it would make it easier to visit.
