3 /5 Christopher Wu: Sahra’s Kitchen does Somali food in more of a pick your plate style, where you choose your proteins and they load it up for you, similar to a food court setup. The standout here was definitely the chapati, and the chicken was also pretty nice. The flavours worked well, and the rice was not oily at all. It had the perfect texture to wrap up in the chapati, which made the meal very enjoyable. The lamb spinach salad was decent as well. One letdown for me was the lamb shoulder. Compared to other places along the same street, it was much drier and not as tender. Overall, a solid spot with some strong elements, especially the chapati and chicken, but the lamb shoulder could be better.

4 /5 Vish A: We bought rice and spaghetti. The rice was nicely flavoured, and the lamb was very tender, chicken was okay, though there were not many pieces of meat. Soup and tea were free. You should definitely try the lamb samosa.it was very nice and the best part of the meal.

5 /5 Jo: A happy accident trying this place for the first time as the restaurant we planned to go to closed early. It will definitely become a regular visit. Very friendly service explaining how to order and what the dishes are. Amazing value - $25 for a loaded plate including lamb, salmon, beans, greens and rice (with other options on offer). Comforting and hearty with nourishing spices. Tried the egg stuffed potato and took some sponge cake home also. Tasty honest food with a community feel.

3 /5 Frank Powers: 3 STARS in total! Food was delicious and i would have given 5 stars but the arabic lady in the Hijab will charge you more if youre not Muslim. First time I went there, i was greeted by a Somali man named Mahdi, he was great. He told me 2 dishes with rice is $25.00 and tea is free if you as part of the meal. He has great customer service as he was willing to describe every dish and how to place an order with no confusion. 2nd time i want a Muslim lady in Hijab served me, i bought some samosas and this deliscious egg and mash potatoes balls at $3.50 each but she said since i didnt order a main meal, then tea is $3.50.... ok fine. THird and last time i went there, she was there again, thought id test her out this time and ordered 2 dishes and rice, this time she charged me $28. I still helped myself to the tea. Food is delicious but pretend to be muslim so they charge you muslim rates. FOOD IS SO DELISCIOUS THOUGH...
