Schnitz Craigieburn Central - Food VIC

4 /5 nitin bhatia: Schnitz Craigieburn is a great spot for vegetarians—almost everything on the menu can be made in a veg option, which is a big plus. I ordered the Spice of Life burger in its vegetarian version, and it was quite filling. The veggie schnitzel was generously sized, though slightly overcooked and a bit burnt, which took away from the overall experience. That said, their fries are hands down some of the best—crispy, seasoned perfectly, and very moreish. A solid option for a quick and satisfying vegetarian meal.

1 /5 Jinny: Honestly one of the most filthiest places I have ever gone to. Firstly upon walking in, the front door was oily and greasy just touching it, walked inside and the floors were disgusting. Aside from looking like they hadnt been vacuumed in weeks, there was this thick, oil slick over the tiles which was just oil and grime. It was actually dangerous because it was so thixk with grease that the floor was slippery. The glass where the salad bar is was also very dirty. From there, we couldnt find one clean table. Every table was dirty. It was 11.30am, so cant even blame it on a customer rush, especially given there was only 1 couple in there the whole time. I was absolutely mortified to see that there were BIRD DROPPINGS on the inside tables!!! Inside! We politely mentioned to one of the staff members about the cleanliness and bird droppings, she did not look fazed or concerned, she said something along the lines of they try and keep it clean but it keeps happening. Firstly, there are large solids doors and no open windows, i cant even see how theyd get in. Secondly, thats not excuse, disinfect and clean it? Thirdly, she made a laughing/shrugging off face and walked off and didnt even bother to clean it?!? This is how people get sick. They had also been open barely an hour at this point, so they obviously hadnt cleaned from the day before. Absolute disgrace and im sure the health inspectors would have a field day. If there common areas are like this, id hate to see what the kitchen is like.

1 /5 Nav: I had a really disappointing experience at Schnitz. I went out with my family expecting a nice meal, but the food quality was honestly unacceptable. The chips were completely cold, and the burger was so cold it felt like it had just come out of the freezer. It didn’t taste fresh at all. On top of that, the atmosphere was not welcoming at all. The place didn’t feel warm or friendly, which made the whole experience even worse. When you’re dining out with family, you expect good food and a comfortable environment unfortunately, we got neither.
