Jessica Peruzzo Came in after the new management took over and honestly… what a difference! The food was so fresh and full of flavour, everything we ordered was spot on. The service was amazing too, super friendly, welcoming and attentive. You can really feel the good energy in the place. The atmosphere, the music, the whole vibe… 10/10. So good to see this place thriving again. I’ll definitely be back!!!

Paper Plate Restaurant - VIC

Iona Murdoch Paper plate is a great restaurant. Amazing atmosphere, and very tasty food. Everything was fresh and visually appealing. They’re also attentive from taking orders to filling up water. A pleasant surprise- everything (except the pork) is halal! Suggest to book in advance to guarantee a seat.

Touchwood - VIC

Georgia Our favourite brunch spot weve found so far and somewhere we keep coming back to. Always good food and coffee, the staff here are SUPER lovely. They usually have specials so its fun to try something new (my partner got his usual chicken bao buns and I got the lamb kebab special which was a 10/10, really hoping they add it to their menu forever). + added a few more pictures of food we got here since we do eat here a lot.

Koutouki Coffee Shop - VIC

Purple Sunset Super affordable family-owned home-cooked Greek food. Dinner menu is not displayed; staff will come to your table and tell you what 80+ year old mom is cooking in the kitchen that night. Favourites are fried calamari (the meatiest calamari weve ever tried!) and meatballs (moist, tasty bastards, those things are). Tip #1: If George is not inundated by orders, hed take the time to sit down and have a chat with you. Tip #2: weekday nights are quieter, you have a better chance of quicker serving. Sunday lunch only sandwiches and coffee available. Book for Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights if you dont mind joining the crowd! WHY I GAVE FIVE STARS: The owners clearly care about what they serve, cook the food themselves (not hired chefs). Theres nothing fancy or pretentious about this place, just good ol traditional Greek food! We receive personalised customer service whenever we visit. These guys tick all the boxes for us!

St Domenico Italian Restaurant Pizzeria - VIC

Melbourne Livetoeat_ This restaurant offers authentic Italian pizzas and handmade pastas that truly deliver on flavour and quality. We had the Gamberi pizza, generously topped with prawns, and the truffle mushroom pasta, which was rich, creamy, and full of depth. The prosciutto bruschetta was another highlight, served on crusty bread and loaded with high-quality cured meat. To drink, the strawberry margarita was refreshing and vibrant, while the Sangiovese paired beautifully with both the pizza and pasta. We finished with the cannoli, which was perfectly sweet, filled with smooth cream and topped with pistachio for a lovely crunch. A great spot for Italian food lovers, especially with their unlimited gnocchi or pizza specials on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Pillar of Salt - VIC

Elisabetta Giusta Always like this place, one of my favourites for coffee. Missing a star just because the food is a little inconsistent - the chilli scrambled eggs were great, the royal Benedict was surprisingly bland. Fixed it with the seasoning provided on the tables, but not what you would expect with that kind of dish.

Anchovy - VIC

Bennis Dennis Serving absolutely delicious food is one thing but the service and the care in explaining each item, the different methods of cooking and how the ingredients come together is what made this one of our favourite recent dining experiences. It’s hard to name a favourite dish - from the crispiness of the prawn and pork sandwich which I could eat 1000 times over to the unique flavours of the lamb curry. I’m so glad we finally tried anchovy after heading next door to Ca Com for years. Every flavour and every interaction with staff was elevated in the most delicate and perfect way possible!

Bridge Hotel - VIC

Amilliah The Bridge Hotel in Richmond is a classic local pub that delivers great value, friendly service and a relaxed night out. I visited on a Monday night for Meatball Mondays, and it was such a good experience. For just around $26 you get a generous serving of classic meatballs with spaghetti and bottomless garlic bread refills, which kept us going all night. It’s such great comfort food and feels like a proper pub feast. The meatballs were decent size and flavourful, the sauce rich and satisfying, and the garlic bread was lovely with the option to keep it coming, a simple touch that made the meal feel even better. Inside there’s plenty of seating, so even when the pub is busy and buzzing with locals or groups, it never feels cramped or stressful to find a table. The atmosphere is classic pub energy, warm, social and friendly, which makes it great for a casual night out any day of the week. Another bonus is parking available on the side streets, which makes getting there easy even on busy nights, so you don’t have to worry about finding a spot.

Jason Y Amazing brunch spot for food and drinks. The Matcha drink was very authentic. Had a small issue with the food but the owner took responsibility and rectified it professionally. Will 100% visit again in the future!
