Two Fat Buns Essendon - VIC

Eshita Mou After spending so many days here in Sydney, I truly miss their loaded fries and unbeatable burger. Especially the loaded fries, they remind me of one of the most important phases and memories of my life. The owner of this shop is very humble, and the staff are really friendly. I hope and pray this shop continues to grow, and if I ever visit Melbourne again, I’ll definitely come back to enjoy their food.

Little Thai Kitchen - VIC

Karen Cain Wow what a little gem….I’ve driven past this place for years as it doesn’t look much from the outside and finally tried it this week. Boy have I been missing out. The food was AMAZING!!! Their phone didn’t stop ringing with take away orders and the staff were friendly. I will definitely be back!!

Mister Hoffman - VIC

Stephen Matthews Time to revisit this review from some time back. It remains a great place for brunch. Upon reflection its part of a now iconic and unique (though being exported) Australian breakfast cuisine (and coffee) culture. Arguably Melbourne does it best for many reasons, and Mister Hoffman is, I think, a great example. It, and others like it (in this part of Melbourne, plenty) basically serves a dedicated local community and almost not too many beyond, but its customer base is loyal. Downsides - its small. On a cold rainy day youre likely to end up outside. You cant book. On those same cold days the doors always open for the constant stream of take away coffee customers. Kind of annoying at times to feel like youre eating in the coffee queue. That aside, everything food is quality. Fresh, creative, vibrant and tasty. Lots of standards with a twist. Well worth a visit if you can find a table empty!

Franks Ristorante - VIC

Y I had the Parma on Parma Night, which is only $18 on Wednesdays. I was so surprised by how big it was. The salad and chips were very generous, and the salad was fresh with a beautiful dressing. The service was good, and the atmosphere felt cozy.

Ipoh Garden Kitchen - VIC

Samuel Wang A gem on Keilor Road. Found this place while car was getting a wash across the road. Lemon Chicken was moist and not deadly sweet like most other restaurants offerings 5/5 Seafood laksa was as good as my experience growing up to Brisbane Souths Malaysian restaurants. No eggplants, so a big plus from me. 5/5 Special fried rice was moist and flavoursome. 4/5

Pizza Raphael - VIC

N Garud One of the best pizzas in Melbourne. We went around 9pm last night, wanted something with chicken, but not BBQ sauce. The folks happily obliged and gave us a really delicious chicken pizza with chilli sauce, pizza sauce and tons of cheese. The crust was well done and we waited for less than 10 minutes. We ate so well. So reasonably priced for such generous portion. We will be back!

400 Gradi - Essendon - VIC

Kenan M I had dinner at 400 Gradi today, and it was an incredible experience from the moment we sat down. The food was full of rich, authentic Italian flavours, and you could really taste the quality in every bite. We started with a rocket and pear salad along with their bread, olive oil and balsamic. Both were simple yet beautifully done — fresh, well-balanced, and delicious. For our mains, we shared a lasagna and a pizza, and they were both exceptional. The lasagna, in particular, stood out as one of the best I’ve ever tried — rich, comforting, and perfectly cooked. Everything — the presentation, the flavours, the service, and the atmosphere — all came together to make the meal memorable. If you’re looking for authentic Italian food that truly delivers, 400 Gradi is definitely worth a visit.

Mr Charcoal Essendon - VIC

Adriani Georgakopoulos I dont know what is happening to this store the quality of the food has changed to a low level. I have been coming to this store for six years at least two times a week. They had excellent chicken and lamb. The last two visits have been very disappointing the chicken smells and the taste is different. Very sad to see this in such a great place. I really dont like to write bad reviews but the owner needs to know.

Carosello - VIC

Justine G Staff were friendly, welcoming, and attentive. Service was excellent, with just the right timing between entrées, mains, and dessert. Serving sizes were very generous — we ordered one entrée, one pizza, and one dessert to share, and it was more than enough for two people. The prices were very reasonable, just over $100 for three courses, two mocktails, and a coffee. All the food tasted fantastic. I loved the meatballs — they had great flavor and weren’t dry at all. The chargrilled bread that came with them added a wonderful smoky touch. The potato and sausage pizza was delicious, with great flavors and that perfect wood-fired taste. We finished with the pistachio tiramisu, which was absolutely delicious — not overly sweet or rich, and one serving was definitely enough to share between two

Robert Portelli Very pleasant breakfast. Great, fresh food and juices. Young lady Phoebe was polite, calm and very present. Not over bearing. Fantastic! Smashed Avo was beautiful. Recommend it.
