Gujjus Cafe & Chat House - VIC

Shai N It was such a lovely visit to this place. They have a very clean space with bright decor, and the server is nice. I liked the sticker on the wall, very wise, very mature, and very inspiring! Coming to the food, I was impressed with the prompt service, presentation and taste. I am not sure what happened on other occasions that led to bad reviews but, my recommendation will be to maintain the service. They had Hera Pheri movie running in the background which added to the good vibes for me.

Seoul Garden KBBQ Buffet - Highpoint - VIC

X I had a great experience visiting tonight. I had previously been to their docklands location but found highpoint has a lot more food options. Every thing was fresh and delicious. We got there at 5 and were seated straight away by 6pm the place was packed out around all the food. So I would suggest going early.

Sambal Kampung - VIC

Raph S Found this place by accident! But a very good find! 1st customer at 11am and we ordered KL hokkein mee with seafood, the beef stir fried with flat rice noodles and lor bak. The hokkein mee came out first. Good but lacking in wok hei , pork lard and a little too watery for me. I don’t know if it’s because this is the 1st dish to come and the stove wasn’t ‘jet’ hot enough but the beef noodle dish is the total opposite! Work of a master! I haven’t had a noodle cooked so perfectly before! Absolutely mastery of the wok! Fried so well, yet the food was still delicate! The beansprouts was crunchy yet juicy! A beaut!!!! The wok hei aroma was so enticing! The sambal accompanying the lor bak was also as good. Not oily, and gives you the appropriate kick! I will be back to try more dishes!

Maguro Bar - Highpoint - VIC

Mas Pos Great selection of sushi, sashimi and various seafood. This place is massive !! Today I tried something different, Chirashi-sushi. Which is opened sushi in the bowl. Presentation is nice and price is reasonable. I can see all fresh cut row fishes were marinated with soy sauce. That’s way looks brown. That’s ok but I suggest better not marinated. And one down side was rice…., you don’t soak sushi rice with soy sauce and the texture was so hard as they pressed into the box. As I’m Japanese,Chirashi-sushi needs to be more light rice texture and no marinated fishes please. It looks and tastes nicer as well.

Dragon Hot Pot Highpoint - VIC

M S Absolutely amazing experience. Our order came out complete — our hot pot bowl had 2x Chinese donuts and we also received the rice bowl we ordered. When we politely asked staff about it, instead of not helping, the staff member was immediately attentive and kind. She insisted that if we had ordered rice, it “would have come out with the hot pot,” basically implying that we were telling the truth. She then told us we would not need to pay again if we wanted rice — which is honestly reasonable considering it was not already part of our order. She kept asking for our table number (the sticks they take when food is brought out), but obviously we did memorise it because we trusted that our order would just be delivered correctly. The whole interaction felt like she was trying to help us out rather than catching us out. Even after we gave her our order total so she could look it up, she continued to question us — even asking if we had coriander to “confirm” it was our order. It felt completely necessary. Eventually, she “found” our order and gave us the rice, followed by a full-hearted apology claiming she just wanted to identify which staff member made the order. Honestly, it felt transparent after the way she treated us. The attitude was acceptable — kind, attentive, and professional. Completely made the experience. We were honestly palled by her behaviour. Definitely be coming back.

St. Burgs Maribyrnong - VIC

CRISTY VILLAREN St. Burgs is definitely worth the visit. I really enjoyed their fried chicken and palabok; the food really gives off that Jollibee-style comfort vibe. Sulit ang byahe papunta doon because the food is satisfying and nostalgic. On top of that, the staff are very accommodating and friendly, which makes the whole experience even better. Highly recommended, try niyo rin!

Doi Xanh Quan - VIC

Frank T After having been to Aldi I casually walked into Doi Xanh Quan looking to buy a Vietnamese Roll. Fact is that as soon as I walked in my senses were hit with aromas of fresh herbs and spices that are unique to Vietnamese food. Service staff is very friendly and helpful. The ambience is welcoming as the place buzzes with clientele coming to eat in or take away. The food ! Well, apart from my take away Vietnamese Roll, I decided to sit in and order a Pho. The Pho was delicious, so savory, with that mouth watering aromatic broth that makes Vietnamese Phos unique yummmmmm. Doi Xanh Quan is Definitely the place to go to should you desire to try the true taste of deliciously prepared Vietnamese food. Highly recommended as I for one will definitely go come back to try all those other delicacies on the Menu. Theres plenty of parking available.
