5 /5 Alistair McLean: My first visit to Taco Bill’s Malvern East was back in early 2025, and I’ll admit it didn’t leave much of an impression at the time. But what a transformation! With the change of management, it has quickly become our family favourite. The fresh paint, colourful Mexican décor and brighter atmosphere have completely lifted the place.
The menu hasn’t changed, but the food certainly has — everything now feels fresher, better prepared and made with real care. It’s not trying to be fine dining; it’s simply a cheerful, relaxed spot where everyone can find something they enjoy.
We always kick things off with the Nachos Supremos to share while we’re settling in with a drink. The standout drink is the $25 Margarita Sampler — five mini margaritas in different flavours, perfect for the table to enjoy together.
When I can’t choose, I go for “La Combinación” for a little bit of everything. If you want something lighter, the Fajita Salad with marinated prawns is excellent. And I rarely leave without finishing on “Death by Chocolate.”
The staff are warm and attentive, the portions are generous, and the whole experience is fun and relaxed. Our family happily recommends Taco Bill’s Malvern East if you’re after a casual night out with great vibes and tasty, no-fuss food. If your last visit to Taco Bills Malvern East was underwhelming, I recommend you visit again with the new management team in control and a fresher look.
