Taste Dumpling - Food VIC

2 /5 Noah Ward: The food was edible and didnt taste bad. However, it definitely lacked flavour. The illustrations on the menu looked more appetising than the final product. However, if you are worried about portion sizes, then worry not because the portion sizes are HUGE, probably just enough for two people, and I ate on a near-empty stomach. The service seems a bit hit and miss depending on who you have as your waiter/waitress, The waitress I had was pleasant enough. Im also confused about the meaning of "almost can be vegetarian" and "means vegetarian item." Both are dubious, confusing terms known only to the author/authors of the menus and have probably been put through google translate one too many times, but most glaringly, more than a few non-veg dishes came under these categories, Id give it two and a half stars of I could, but google doesnt let you do half ratings, so Ive decided to settle on two stars,

4 /5 Makura H.: Most of the food is really good, but I wouldnt recommend some, especially anything with curry chicken, which feels quite powdery. The portions are appropriate for the price. The dining area is quite generous, but the overall atmosphere can be quite dingey. Sometimes you can hear the chef shout/argue with the floor staff - but that just means that the food will be good! Its also great that tea is offered at tables, which is to be expected.

5 /5 Celine: A classic Chinese restaurant. Kinda dirty but the food is always bomb. I went here with my little princess after touring an apartment that kinda sucked. Anyways the food was very good, and big portions.

5 /5 Leo: Good cheap Chinese spot. Normally super quiet and chill. Not the fanciest food in the world but tastes great and fills you up. No one is going to judge you for coming here alone and eating while watching some YouTube etc. Would recommend.

4 /5 李厂长来了: Taste Dumpling, located near Burwood Deakin University, seems to be a fast-food eatery offering a typical Chinese restaurant taste. Despite serving average level Chinese cuisine, their prices remain quite competitive compared to other places, especially in todays high inflation rates. I recommend trying their braised pork knuckle and dumplings – those dishes stand out for their flavors. BTW: the waitress is quite nice and friendly.
