Miriam W Sun-soaked courtyard brunch in Balaclava! Just back from travelling and it was so nice to land here, home again in Balaclava. I had the sautéed thyme mushrooms with two poached eggs, greens, a green juice and a cappuccino. The mushrooms were buttery, with whipped feta, thyme herby and full of flavour, the eggs perfectly poached, and the big pile of greens kept it feeling fresh and light rather than heavy. The sunny courtyard with the open roof, vines and view of the beginning of a new day, plus Balaclava station in the background, is such a lovely little pocket to ease back into Melbourne life. Carlisle Street life!

Valu George Munish and his staff went all out with the food, atmosphere and service. Food was delicious. My family really enjoyed themselves this night. We had a private room at the back for my little sister’s birthday. Thank you for making this a wonderful night we will definitely be back for more delicious food and the drinks yumm.

Mia Goreng Affordable and great selection of pastas plus sides. This place is known for takeaway but dining in is nice in the front or courtyard out back. My favourite had to be the vodka pasta, we got the smaller size but you can get a larger option if you want more carbs. My friend loved her Funghi. We also ordered garlic bread, arancini and truffle fries as sides plus cannoli for desserts. Also love the Tommy spritz’s available - we tried lemon and mandarin

Shai N Just few minutes walk from the balaclava station. Really enjoyed the happy hour drinks and the chicken wings. The server was nice and friendly. During the happy hour beer and ciders were $10 and spirits were $9 if I remember correctly. We had a nice time sitting there and catching up with mates.

Ganesh R Amazing vegetarian brunch. We had great coffee, bowls and juice in cool warehouse surrounds. Friendly staff and customers. We had the zucchini hotcakes, chickpea tofu, pumpkin avo smash and great coffee, chai and freshly squeezed juice. Felt Very Melbourne!

Jacques Ayy The staff here were lovely, fast and very helpful. Most of us ordered the large set menu. Each course was impressive. The total amount of food was perfect and left us very full. Crowd favourite was the calamari and dessert (Tres Leches) One of us had the $25 chicken special on Wednesdays. The value on this deal is incredible for the quality. Perfect location for a nice meal with work friends, small celebrations or a date night.

Simachou Took the kids out for a meal today — they absolutely loved the spring rolls and chicken rice here. The cooked tuna poke bowl was also delicious. The lovely owner even gave us a complimentary serving of sweet rice dumpling dessert. The kids send their thanks to the kind and pretty lady!”

jeff cooley Excellent cafe with good food, service & an inspiring mission to help those who need help play an active role in the community. The world needs more enterprises like this. The food is very good, the prices are fair & the service is human. So glad we accidentally found this cafe, if I lived here I would regularly use this cafe. Thoroughly recommend.

Hermosa Loved the beef lasagna— Delicious! The gnocchi gorgonzola was amazing too, so smooth and comforting. Service and environment was wonderful, highly recommended!
