Barry Visited here on two occasions. First time most of the dishes were sold out as I went for late lunch on a Sunday but was able to order a signature pork loin katsu set which included cabbage, rice, miso soup and a small side dish. The pork loin was thick and tender with a thin and crispy panko coating which was light and not greasy at all. Condiments included tonkatsu sauce, salt, wasabi, hot mustard and yuzu kosho. The salt and wasabi combination is recommended to enjoy more of the natural flavour of the pork. As for their tonkatsu sauce, preferred if it was a bit more tangy and less sweet. Rice and miso soup was good, and the dressing on the cabbage was light, sweet and fruity which was decent. For the second visit during dinner time, I was able to try the other pork cuts as well as some other dishes. The premium pork loin katsu has limited servings a day; meat was more flavoursome and the fat cap adds a richness to the bite. The hire katsu is a leaner cut but was perfectly cooked medium with some pinkness; meat was very soft and tender. The prawn was big with a nice prawn to panko coating ratio. The small side of curry was thick with some stewed beef, potato and carrots; pretty generous with the ingredients but the curry was a bit too salty for my liking. Overall a very good tonkatsu specialty restaurant and the staffs were friendly and polite.
