amy moss If you want simple, comforting and delicious food, this place gives you exactly that. I’ve been to Ilza Cafe a few times now, and every visit has really hit the spot for me. The cafe itself is very nice and pleasant, with both indoor and outdoor seating. Today we ordered the chicken, tofu and beef bao, a chicken sando, pork katsu sando, a peanut butter latte and a strawberry matcha latte. We were seated pretty much immediately, and the food came out around 5–10 minutes after ordering. Keep in mind this was on a Saturday afternoon with no prior reservation and the place was completely full, so that was a huge positive!! Everything was delicious and really pleasing to eat! It just always hits, which is why we’ve been back a few times. The only small thing I’d mention (which wasn’t really an issue for me) is that the iced matcha is on the weaker side, though it’s very creamy and sweet. Overall, the food is done well and feels genuinely comforting, you definitely feel satisfied by the end of the meal.

Armani Archers Had lunch at this restaurant for the first time and I was very impressed. The food quality was great and the taste was amazing. The portions were super generous. The owner was friendly and the place was simple but had nice atmosphere. I will definitely visit again.

M H Really good pizza. Balanced the ratio of each of the toppings to base perfectly. Pizza base had great crunch. Highly recommend. Freddy (owner) was great and even threw in a garlic pizza for free. Great value. 1 large traditional pizza, 1 large gourmet pizza, garlic bread and 1.25l drink for $40 I’ll def be going back again

Luna Dao Love it! The price here is really good for the food quality. Their fish is actually yum. The cuts are thick so you can feel the flavour. I’m pretty picky with tuna, but this tuna here has impressed me. You gotta try tuna nirigi here. Agedashi tofu is even more surprised. Full of sauce and tons of shredded fish. I have never eaten agedashi tofu with this much shredded fish. There are two layers of shredded fish, one at the top and one at the bottom.

Joyce K A beautiful family owned restaurant. Delicious Vietnamese and South Eastern Asian cuisine. Loved the live mud crab dish, the flavour was amazing, smooth and succulent flesh. All the food we ordered was delicious. The owner Francis is so friendly and recommended the most delicious food I’ve ever eaten! Lots of different types of Asian dishes to choose from, I will have to come back to try all the other dishes. Highly recommended!

John-Theo Papanikolaou Some of the greatest pizza you can get in Melbourne, or perhaps the entire country. Their dough recipe is a likely contender for a temporary cure for depression! The tender chew of the sourdough base followed by its satisfyingly airy crunch of the crust is an absolute delight amongst the senses with every bite. The staff at Blackburn and Mont Albert are very welcoming and always very warm and attentive. They genuinely appreciate your business and deliver fantastic food to you as a result. I highly recommend the prosciutto pizza for a post-workout gut-health powerhouse option, given its lavish amount of prosciutto combined with the freshness of the sourdough, its great news for the microbiome. The vegetarian pizzas are also loaded with plenty of vegetables without becoming a wet mess like most other high-end and average pizza joints. Their sourdough donuts are also an amazing treat that have a uniquely effervescent fluffiness that retains a delicate chew with a hint of sourdough flavour, which is a really refreshingly premium experience for a typically overlooked dessert item. After ordering at least 30 times between both locations, there hasnt been a single thing on the menu that has been disappointing. Highly recommend this place as your new go-to pizza spot! Wishing them the greatest success for the future and hopefully manifesting some more locations so that other people around Melbourne/the world can enjoy such incredible pizza! Thank you!
