1919 Master Lanzhou Beef Noodles - Forest Hill - VIC

CH Teo Heard from some friends that this was open, so we went there today and tried the pickle beef noodles , traditional signature , clear broth beef noodles for the kids , and some sides. Love them all. The noodles were hand pulled and made freah as and when you order . I also like the home made plum and pear juice. I look forward to trying their skewers next and also the rice and cold noodles . And it’s halal - pork free

Moon & Spoon - VIC

Jen The coffee was alright, was on the edge of burnt, but not quite there. So a strong flavour, which I dont mind. The very berry juice was fine. The chicken and mushroom crepe had potential for greatness. Mushroom and sauce and crepe were good. But the chicken was dry and hard. Not sure why, overcooked or maybe old and microwaved? The sliders were average. Beef one was basic. Saving item were the chips which had some crispy bite to it.

Panda Kitchen Origin Forest Hill - VIC

Lionel Hutz What youd expect. Good food court Chinese takeaway. The options are good and I like that there is a braised beef brisket option as thats a more authentic offering than the usual.

Little claypot 小瓦煲 - VIC

Lu “Ins&Tk:deliciousdownunder” Found this hidden gem in Forest Hill Chase! If you’re craving authentic Malaysian claypot dishes, Little Claypot is the place to go. We tried the Bak Kut Teh, Curry Seafood Claypot, and Steam Lala. The Bak Kut Teh was herbal and comforting, with super tender pork ribs. The seafood curry was rich, creamy, and loaded with fresh ingredients. My personal favorite was the Steam Lala—the broth was so fresh and clean with a lovely ginger aroma. Prices are very reasonable, mostly around $20-$40 per head. The service was friendly and the food came out piping hot. Definitely a 5-star experience! Highly recommend for a cozy family dinner or a quick lunch.

Persian Flavours - VIC

Nasiri Shahram (SHA RAM) This family-run Afghan restaurant (with a delightful mix of Persian and Middle Eastern dishes) is an absolute gem. Everything is made from scratch with premium ingredients, and you can even see some of the ingredients they sell right next to the kitchen, so fresh and authentic. One of the things I love most is their freshly stone-baked soda bread; warm, soft, and absolutely delicious. The quality of the food is outstanding, yet the prices are surprisingly reasonable for what you get. The portions are generous, and the variety of flavors gives you a chance to try something different each time, especially if you enjoy exploring different meats and traditional recipes. The atmosphere is welcoming and vibrant, with people from all walks of life dining together. The staff are incredibly friendly and make you feel at home. It’s also BYO, so you can bring along your own wine or any beverage to enjoy with the meal. The authenticity, freshness, fair pricing, and warm hospitality make this restaurant stand out; it’s no wonder I find myself coming back every week. If you’re looking for delicious food with a mix of Afghan, Persian, and Middle Eastern flavors at unbeatable value, this is the place to go!

Tasty House (forest hill) - VIC

Celine Very modern Chinese restaurant. I really like the tea that was already at the table and the little ornamental sauce holders. We ate corn egg soup, chasiu and pork. Overall great experience and the staff was extremely attentive, they even had mics to talk to one another. All the food came out very fast and the portions were good for the price.
