5 /5 Edison Tsui: Had the Thursday special chicken Parma at Wilbury & Son and it was spot on. The Parma was nice and juicy, smelled amazing when it came out, and tasted just as good as it looked. Generous portion, well cooked, and really satisfying. Great value for money—especially for a midweek dinner. Would happily come back again.

5 /5 Rhi View: My wife and I came in tonight without booking. Had read this place had pram space and thought we’d try our luck. Staff were accomodating and friendly, drinks were delish, and the food was tasty. We had a Parma and an entree calamari to share and both were perfect. The Parma was especially good! We also had a cocktail each and both were great. Pricing was fair, it’s expensive to go out anywhere these days, but Wilbury was pretty reasonable. We’ll be back for sure. They had a baby change table in the disabled toilets and the venue on the whole was well decorated, clean, and had a great vibe. Highly recommend!

4 /5 Solo DINER: Local pub and loved by all with a good local loyalty. They serve good Pub classics with a wide range of options to choose from and good beers. They do different specials everyday and I visited on a Friday where they serve any mains (except for the steak) for $22 which seemed to be good value for money. I ordered a Parma with chips and salad with a side of Chipotle aoili and a Guiness which coated about $38 bucks, which I think is pretty reasonable. The Parma was nice thick, and all you can ask from a good local pub. I have wanted to try their Sunday roast and might visit soon.

4 /5 nickelfoodrevs: Im on the hunt for the best parma in Melbourne, and I think I may have found a top contender. I went to Wilbury & Sons last Friday with my co-worker (and cousin) for their $22 parma deal. When we rocked up, we thought the interaction between the bartender and a regular (an older gentleman) was hilarious. The regular seemed impatient for his drink, and the bartender simply replied, “patience is a virtue,” lol. Anyway, onto the parma itself. I got the regular parma ($22) and their peach iced tea cocktail ($16). Both arrived at around the 17-minute mark. Maybe a tad bit long. Ideally, 15 minutes or less is better, especially when youre on a lunch break. But you forget about that once you start eating. For something that looks a bit overcooked and dry, Im impressed. The breading was nice and crisp throughout each and every bite, and the chicken was relatively moist too. And it seems like they have some herbs in the breading? Very nice. The cheese was surprisingly stringy and flavourful. Youd think it wouldnt stretch, but it did for the most part. Impressive. There was a good amount of saltiness throughout the parma in general, but my only critique is the sauce. Not that it was bad, mind you. It was sweet. It kind of reminded me of MasterFoods tomato sauce, but with more of a foundation to it. Not as sweet. Not too tangy either. But it didnt have that fresh vibrancy you get from a whole tomato, if that makes sense? A tad too sweet for my liking. But overall, very happy. A huge nod to the overall size of the parma as well. It was quite filling, and I didnt feel like I needed to eat anything else for the rest of the day. Im never a huge fan of these green leaf salads — personal preference. But they added pomegranate to it, which is a nice touch. And the chips were basically perfect. Good crisp on all of them, with just the right amount of saltiness. The drink is a tad bit expensive, but I liked the flavour of it a lot. It tasted like strawberry sour gummies. Quite sour, with just the right amount of sweetness. For $22, I cant complain too much. It was a good-quality parma, and one that more people should check out. Good stuff.
