1 /5 Kseniya Tkachenko: Location: On their website it states that their clinic is in the “Heart of Melbourne CBD”. However, it is a 30min drive from the city (Malvern East). When I pulled up, I noticed that it was a residential area. I walked up and down the street trying to find the street number and after about 10 minutes I noticed a building that said Wholistic Care Centre. I walked down that driveway and on the back of it I saw a door with a printed-out piece of paper that read Allure Skin.
Check-in: As I couldn’t find the address for some time, I tried calling the clinic several times to let them know that I was running late but my calls were not answered. Once I arrived, the woman informed me that she was not aware that an appointment had been booked for that time. However, she looked on her computer and sure enough my appointment was there. Because she did not know she had a booking, the room was not set up. Another client arrived a few minutes after me, and I was informed that she was somehow double booked.
Treatment: Before the treatment commenced, I made it explicitly clear that I have very sensitive and eczema-prone skin. I found the Hydrofacial to be extremely rough and painful. Additionally, my under-eye area was very raw and sensitised for 24hrs after the treatment.
During my appointment, the therapists phone kept ringing and she stopped the treatment to answer calls several times throughout.
Overall, I would not recommend Allure Skin. Not only was the service completely unprofessional, but my skin type was not taken into consideration leaving me with adverse effects from the treatment. To top it all off I was charged $253.75 for this unacceptable service.
