Baytown Nature Center - VIC

Undrea Hines Expansive Park with awesome trails and hidden gems everywhere. Fishing seemed to be popular too by the number of men out there fishing. Would be a great place for events, family reunions, weddings & such. Wild, but really accessible too. Bring a cooler with drinks & snacks, bait or whatever to get the most out of your stay. I enjoyed myself discovering all the lil nooks and crannies. Will definitely return.

Space Center Houston - VIC

Naif (NKM) I visited the Space Center in Houston today, and it was absolutely amazing! From the moment I walked in, I was blown away by the exhibits and how well everything was organized. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about space exploration. Highlights of my visit included seeing the historic Mission Control, touching a real moon rock, and walking underneath the massive Saturn V rocket it’s truly a sight to behold! The interactive exhibits kept things fun and engaging, and I loved learning about both past and future NASA missions. And don’t leave without trying the astronaut ice cream! It’s a fun little treat that adds to the whole space experience freeze-dried and surprisingly tasty. Whether you’re a space nerd or just curious, this place has something for everyone. Definitely a must-visit if you’re in Houston. I left feeling inspired and in awe of human achievement.

Bear Creek Pioneers Park - VIC

Cassandra Bowie Such a wonderful place for picnics and large family gatherings. Lots of trees provide lots of shade. An abundance of BBQ grills are spread throughout. This place is huge! Plenty of parking and plenty of land. I suggest you get there early if you and yours are celebrating a major holiday. For this is a very popular spot. Although there may be families all around, animals included theyre a pet friendly facility, there is so much space one barely notices. Its not crowded at all yet the place is full. Every family has their own territory and it is substantial, enough to have an Easter egg hunt or play volleyball or soccer or whatever floats your boat. There are restrooms and I noticed a pavilion that we brought our own canopies I think most people in Houston have them LOL. Hands down,I was really, really impressed! All you really need is your family, friends, pets, coolers, fold up chairs, shade if you want it and some food to cook on the charcoal. Make a day of it! We did. And there are playgrounds but we brought our own fun. I give it two thumbs and look forward to the next time.

Exploration Park - VIC

Meredith Guarino This is one of my favorite parks in Katy! So fun for all ages. There are a lot of little activity areas- from slides and swings to climbing gyms and a hill to roll on with turf. They have a really great pavilion that is shaded with picnic tables which is awesome for any event like a birthday or family gathering. No pets allowed. They have bike racks and bathrooms. They even have charcoal grills set up outside of the park to grill on. There are water fountains, Hand sanitation stations and it’s completely fenced in so you don’t have to worry about kids running into the street. It’s so safe and really fun!

Claire Bear Very cool spot for events and catering. Rebecca gave me a tour around the property and it was awesome to hear more about what they offer and such. She was friendly and personable, had a great conversation. Their rooftop view is spectacular as well as the open area/park surrounding the building.
