After we agreed on the terms and conditions, I arranged my accommodation and booked flights from New Zealand to Australia at my own expense.
However, a month before the event, I received a message informing me that the conference had been postponed to the following year. Despite this, I was asked if I could still travel—meaning I would need to reschedule both my flights and accommodation—to attend a newly rebranded event, the ACC Event 2025. At this point, the previously agreed-upon terms were significantly changed. I was asked to sell tickets or to pay to participate as a speaker and judge at the championship. I refused, having already invested approximately $2,000 in travel expenses based on our original agreement.
Then, just two weeks before the new event date, several tattoo artists informed me that the event had once again been canceled. Tina and her team never contacted me directly and have not responded to my message regarding the cancellation. Meanwhile, their social media pages and website are still promoting the event, selling tickets, and using my name and medical tattoo content—implying that I am still involved. This is highly misleading and borders on fraud.
From my perspective, this entire experience reflects a serious lack of professionalism and accountability. Tina appears unconcerned with her reputation and has caused unnecessary confusion and financial strain for those involved. Based on my experience, I do not recommend doing any business with Tina. Her conduct raises serious concerns and, frankly, gives the impression of a scam operation.
