5 /5 Alejandro Vizcaino Cruz: I loved this beach. I was expecting it to be very busy as it was a hot day. To my surprise, just few beach goers around. Bring your snacks, a frisbee and enjoy the quietness of this picturesque beach. The Princes Pier is also next to the beach, amazing views and gorgeous surface for rollerblading.
5 /5 Tony Bright: Princess Pier at Port Melbourne foreshore is a secluded beach, perfect for families, teens & elderly people.
No TOILETS though!
It has BBQs, lots of bins for rubbish & is accessible by public transport on the 109 tram from the CBD of Melbourne.
5 /5 Tetrakis Sphericon: This is a unique and very cool beach, lots to see, nice and relatively central. Its hardly ever crowded too.
5 /5 Sean Nairn: Small, quiet beach in Port Melbourne. In the evenings it mostly seems to be frequented by locals and runners who have come from further south. The beach is wide and calm and probably good for children, there is an adventure playground nearby to tire them out if needed. Lots of food and drink options nearby. Easily accessed from Melbourne CBD via the 109 tram.
4 /5 Brianna: This is my new favourite beach for a nice stroll. I went on a Friday night and it was absolutely beautiful, so many people were out and about fishing, walking, laying on the sand and roller skating.
Highly recommend visiting!! Super clean beach as well.
Andres del Rio Hectic playground. Would be in my top 5. Big. All sand based. Lots of buckets on chains for sand play. Water pump see saw. Plenty of bigger climbing. Ages 2 to 10. Not fenced off. Some shade
Teana K Its a nice walk along here to get to the lookout, there are some little fishing spots, bins and seating along the way. Info boards are dotted along the trail as you walk along the path.
People like to jog up the trail and back again, there are dog walkers and tourists just out and about. There is a bit of a stagnant seaweed stench at the beginning of the walk. Amazing views of Port Phillip Bay along the way as well.
Mary Handy little enclosed dog park at one end and kids playground at the opposite end. Lush green grass and decent running/ ball throwing space for our doggo, who told me to give it the maximum stars.
Michael Kondro Running or walking from the sun to Pluto is quite the feat. These statues are pretty rewarding and the walk along the beach is beautiful.
Chris Bray Worth a journey down here just for the sheer history. This fort was responsible for the first commonwealth shots fired in both the first and second world war. The fort has lots to explore and the walk down to it is a reasonably easy going walk too. You can hire bikes and cycle down and there is a bus service, but no cars are allowed which is good. Although the fort itself is the main attraction there are many other little installations to explore at the same time, which probably would be viewed overall as part of the main fort. Sadly when we went it was impossible to progress further from the fort towards the actual point, but still the views are spectacular. Some great wildlife to see along the road too.
Mia Li A stunning and spectacular place where you can walk down to the sea from the beach or over the rocks. There are plenty of beautiful fish, and a large rock you can climb for a great view. The waves out at sea are strong β itβs also an amazing spot to watch the sunset.
Claire Bianca Phillips Ive been visiting for the past 40 years. It hasnt changed and remains beautiful. Our young children now walk with us and enjoy being in the wind, sheltered under the tea trees and exploring the walks.
